64 /100 White Eagle (Bar) RHOSCOLYN This is quite a remote pub a little way off the coastal path on Holy Island, Anglesey. It is rather up market throughout with a brasserie type restaurant and hotel lobby type bar. It is a sister pub to the Oyster Catcher further down the coast. Dog friendly thankfully. Just 3 beers available on our visit with a couple of them being local Welsh ales. Chatty, friendly staff, samplers offered, really happy to see beer connoisseurs trying their wares. |
62 /100 White Eagle (Bar) RHOSCOLYN Signposted from the main road, down a smaller road sometimes just with passing places, the pub in its own buildings has sea views from its terrace, but is still a little way inland on Holy Island. The lower garden area is pleasant too but all you'll see from here is fences and its car park. The plush well-furnished pub is set-up mainly for restaurant goers, but with a row of hand pumps offering up a mix of fairly well known brews from micros, it's a good place to find an ale to compliment your food, or simply to enjoy the Anglesey countryside. They have their own house ale shared with several other pubs brewed by Coach House. It's fairly modern in design with lots of windows capturing plenty of natural light. |
68 /100 White Eagle (Bar) RHOSCOLYN Gastro pub overlooking the coast. Busy with diners and loads of kids in tow. Beer range was interesting and well kept. Service was a little slow but worth popping in. |
70 /100 White Eagle (Bar) RHOSCOLYN This place has built up a string local reputation. Grab a table on the balcony and see the coast. Nice garden. Child friendly. The beer varies with some regular favourites and an ever changing selection of regional examples of real ale. Food usually very good, but the odd plate misses. |
