“Updated review 3/2016: This used to be a great beer pub. It still has a nice ambiance, reasonable food, and decent beer selection, but the selection is nowhere near as good as it used to be, especially when it comes to interesting local stuff. Original review 1/2006: The main draw is the best selection of beer in southeast Houston, and probably anywhere in Houston other than the Flying Saucer downtown. The ambience is nice; a laid-back place with a very varied clientele ranging from 20-year-olds to 60-year-olds. There’s a large bar area with multiple rows of bars on one side, lots of tables in the rest of the restaurant, a patio, and darts in the back; all that allows for simultaneously accomodating a bunch of different crowds. The food is pretty good for a bar/restaurant, and the Thursday night crab special is particularly popular (and ridiculously crowded). Definitely recommended if you live on this side of Houston; might be worth the occasional drive otherwise.“

“This is a popular local hangout on Clear Lake with a nice indoor space and outdoor patio. It’s fairly noisy and cramped when it’s crowded, which is most of the time. Service is prompt and courteous. They have a lot of beers on tap, including many local and national craft brews, with some top beers like Racer 5 and Hopadillo. Food is good and they have a number of interesting pizzas, including a Cajun-style with crawfish. If you are in the Clear Lake area and enjoy good beer and pizza, this place is worth a visit.“

“Decent pub with a wood and brick interior. Typical (American) pub food that was decent. A few TVs here and there and a wall of dart boards (they were not available during the lunch hour). Somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 taps complete with Houston locals, some American craft favorites and some imports. Some of the taps are rotating and/or seasonal. This place can’t be seen from the highway. You pull into the parking lot and it’s around back.“

“Have really stopped trying to get the more interesting beers as of the past year or two, and they’ve admitted as much. don’t bother with this place, go to Nobi instead .. . old rating: Been a bunch of times, but had some great times when Saint Arnold’s released a keg of Divine Reserve #5 and the only cask of 2007 Oktoberfest! The service is quite good, friendly, and the beer selection for this part of town really is super! (hell, they still had divine #4 bottles!) .. The food is also very tasty, some of the best chicken tenders ever, and the pizza’s are thick, full, and delicious!! Great stop if you are in the area, but don’t drive more than 25 mins to get here..“

“A nice neighborhood pub atmosphere. Great food. Service was good, but just a bit slow -- not too bad though. Good beer selection, a couple dozen good ones on tap and a couple more bottles.“

“One of my old favorites if you’re too far from downtown and on the South side of Houston. This suburban shack on the water almost always has Stone IPA and a number of other fine ales flowing, being brought to your table by cute, prompt servers. The pizzas are great too. Like I keep reminding folks, it’s in a suburb, so yes, you will see families there. Deal with it. A great local watering hole with great food and an upbeat vibe, and a decent list of fine ales on tap.“
