“Large warehouse space with cornhole, pool tables, and lots of seating. 6 beers on tap ranging from so-so to good, very reasonably priced sampler for them all. High traffic handled well by friendly and competent staff.“

“Visited toward the early evening on a Saturday. The place is located mostly in the bottom of a big, older building. It appeared to be the basement. Inside was pretty big. Lots of tables and even an area set up for outdoor games like corn hole. One oddity about the place is that the restroom is in a different building. You have to walk across the parking lot to get to it. It is also in the basement. They must have a thing for that, I guess. The place does allow flights of 3 at a time. You can order all 6 for a lower rate, but you will only get the first 3 and have to come back for the others when you are done. That part was a bit strange, but whatever. It worked out. The beers ranged from mediocre to good. Prices were reasonable, and service was great.“

“Getting here was a little bit of a pain in the ass. Somehow we ended up in the back of the brewery following the signs. Thankfully the back door was open! It’s a pretty decent sized warehouse with some really old school wooden boothes. Pool table and and sand bag games are avail to play. All they need to do is put up a wall and cut off the rest of the warehouse for storage because it’s kind of an eyesore. They do have a good thing going though. The place was super packed when I swung in there. Tasting is avail and growlers are for sale, no 22oz bottles though. Nice bar in there. Worth checking out, seemed like a great vibe, lots of energy.“

“A large warehouse brewery with a small brewing setup. Friendly brewer and staff pouring beers and brewing late on a Friday night. The brewer loves whales so we had a nice chat while the samples were flowing. Another worthy stop in this budding brew state.“

“This is a small production brewery in a large warehouse type place, kind of a maze to fid it. Small bar, pool table, and lots of room for expansion. Brewer was there working away, but was very happy to chat. Beers were tasty. Service was cheery and efficient. A nice stop.“

“Nice casual place to grab some tastes and growlers. In an old mill space, there’s the brewing operation, a pool table, a couch, and a tasting bar. Enjoyable old New England atmosphere with a modern twist. Growler prices aren’t completely unreasonable (although a $7 half growler of White IPA is $15 a six pack). Everyone was very helpful, excited, and pleasant. Considering how close this is to me, I’m sure I’ll be back.“

“They used to have good beers but then I guess the big companies bought out the taps so enjoy your heavy seas that was the best option when I went. Did not see stone IPA or Sam Smiths. Used to have long trail but that’s gone too :( Foods real expensive place is too busy and you may loose your waiter. Great ambiance though“

Matunuck Oyster Bar (Restaurant)

“I’m rating this on beer, not the restaurant, which I have many nice things to say, which Mr. Darwin has explained well. However, the beer selection has since changed, and is quite sad. It’s all macros with usually one token micro included. Both the food and beer menu have lots of work to ever reach the level of the atmosphere and food.“

Matunuck Oyster Bar (Restaurant)

“This is a fantastic, modern seafood restaurant. They do everything the clam shacks do, only in a cleaned-up, dinner plate manner. This isn’t fancy gourmet, foodie stuff...just simple seafood, done right in a clean, new environment. They’ve got a great establishment, with classic east coast seafood shack theme and a beautiful bar displaying the fresh oysters and an engraved wood map of the oyster bays. The service was quick and friendly. I had a plate of six local oysters, all of which were stunning. They were only $1.25. Monday through Thursday they offer "Buck a Shuck." Enough said. The New England Style clam chowder was one of the better clam chowders I’ve ever had. And the fresh, in-house stuffy was also top in it’s class. Some regional microbrews (Berkshire and Long Trail) on tap makes this an instant favorite of mine. Updated 11.29.11: burrows review is ironic, because a visit yesterday found a new craft beer menu that included 6 or 7 respectable new beers available, making this place more craft relevant.“
