78 /100 SCHEDERNDORF 19 Visited 5.10.17. Small village, 3 taps, locals, as untouristic as it gets. And 3 great beers on tap. The rauchbier was exceptional. |
62 /100 SCHEDERNDORF 19 This was already the 6th place for us on that day, so we had arrived pretty "warm". Local visitors provided us with perfect company - singing German beer songs and overall having fun. 3 local taps are expectedly good. |
58 /100 STEINFELD 69 Just one beer available on our visit. Quite enjoyable. |
82 /100 SCHEDERNDORF 19 Very local and welcoming. English spoken. 3 beers avaliable. An Altbier.. Odd but decent. We sat in the Sun across the brewhouse and quaffed their tremendous landbier dunkel. Yes! |
60 /100 SCHEDERNDORF 19 Located in the center of the small village Schederndorf not far from Hubner and Lindner in Steinfeld. Large brewery with a gasthof across the street. Impossible to miss in town, just go to the center square, that’s the brewery pretty much. Three beers available, a naturtrub dunkles landbier, a weizen and a bockbier. Maybe a weizenbock if you visit at the right time. Food available is only cold cuts, bread, pickles and cheese, nothing warm. Cozy wooden interior with a central fireplace next to the Stammtisch. This was another of the Franconian spots where surly-looking old men chuckled at us tourists smelling and talking about our beer. The three beers were decent but each had some balance and fermentation problems, so it’s unlikely I will return to try them again in the future, but it was nice to visit even given the cold company. |
70 /100 STEINFELD 69 Multi-room interior, it’s a traditional gasthof in the sense that you can get a surly look from one person and a warm smile from another right next to them. Only the Vollbier dunkles from tap, with 4 other bottles available to go for a euro each, including the respectable Bockbier available in November / December. |
