“Cosy little space underneath an antiques store. Only three of their beers on, amongst a few guest taps. Their beers were decent if not mindblowing. Food was great, staff were great, live folk music was great. Good place.“

Sturbridge Seafood (Restaurant)

“It’s located in what looks like an old house in front of yankee Liquors. The bar is on the right once you enter. They had maybe a dozen taps with some locals and some BMC type stuff. Food was tasty but given it’s seafood it’s always going to pricey. Despite being a Monday night the place was packed so service was a bit slow. Still I’d go back as long as the parking lot were a little less crowded.“

“See that picture in the right hand corner? The brewpub is located on the ground floor. parking’s behind the back which leads you to the first floor business which antique store. The place was deserted when I got there and they only had three of theirs on tap. The beers were solid but I can’t say it’s the most exciting or interesting place I’ve visited.“

“Claims to be the largest liquor store in New England. I’m not sure if that’s true but it’s bigger on the inside than it looks outside. The beer lines the back wall except for the rarer or newer beers which are located at the managers desk near the back. They have a ton of local and regional craft at really decent prices. They also seem to put out rather than hold back much of their rarer stuff which is cool if you’re not a local. They seemed to have a real knowledgeable beer guy ready to help which you don’t always see at a liquor store. It’s definitely worth seeking out if you’re anywhere near.“

“It’s a pizza place in a strip mall on the main drag in downtown Sturbridge. The pizza was solid but felt a little undercooked for my taste. They do have a couple of BMC taps but they also had a lot of local stuff as well as couple of taps from brewers like Captain Lawrence and Rhinegeist. Certainly not a destination place but not bad considering the size of the town.“

“Compared to Julio?s in nearby Westorough, this place has a less impressive and less well-organized beers selection. Still, there was lots to choose from including some hard to find beers. Well worth a stop if you are within a half-hour or so.“

“An excellent spot. It’s a comprehensive liquor store and they have a great range of beer, with an emphasis on New England breweries. Lots of unique stuff here, in addition to high quality. Also good range of national US brands and imports. Easy-to-find location. Pretty good value. Certainly worth a visit.“

“Yea, this place is pretty legit. I’d venture a guess that 90% of this place is wine and spirits. Had a clutch selection of whiskey if that’s your thing. Back of the store is beer with a long single shelf of "craft." Had a good selection, New England locals are plentiful. Found some ATG sours, Cisco sours, 3F shelf turds. I should have grabbed a cart but I did not which limited my credit card damage. Prices where average, if not a tad high... But what ever. A lot of these turds would not last but a few minutes where I live.“

“Great place known for its wine prices and selection also is a good beer store. The beer manager Kenny is really helpful and knowledgeable. When he is not around its tough to find someone that knows a thing about beer though. The building is an old warehouse style place with a wall of craft beer. Some rare imports pop up like Struise, De Molen, etc. Good place to stop and check the stock from time to time.“

“I’ve been coming here for years, they have the staples, don’t really have any rare gems and prices are fair. On the way back from Julio’s i like to peek, there are some suprises in stock at times, Pannepot, De Molen, etc. The wine here though is the cheapest and best selection I’ve ever seen.“

“Coming from CT this place was CHEAP. I liked it. The array of both micro and macro along with some totally unknown local nano-brews was pretty amazing. They have a great European selection in there too. Snacks and other alcoholic drinks are available in abundance.“

“Very good selection with a few gems. Professional service--the wine guy went through every beer in my cart and checked whether or not he could give me a discount. He didn’t know a lick about beer, which actually made his effort all the more admirable. Very good for this type of store.“

“They have several stores in Massachusetts and they advertise frequently. They live up to hype. Don’t blink or you’ll miss it as you drive along Rt. 20. It’s a good sized place with a large variety of macros, micros, independents, and crafts in bottles, cans, and some Opa-Opa and Berkshire growlers. There were a few I had heard of but not seen before. You can split 6-packs but you pay the going rate per bottle. This place also has many wines and other spirits, some cheeses, and snacks for sale.“

“This store is very close to Old Sturbridge Village, so a stopover is quite easy when visiting the area. Micro and import selections are very good, yet a few quality seasonals and sought-after breweries were missing, even though these can be found at Table and Vine in Springfield, about 30-40 minutes from here. It’s hard to really complain when you go to a store with so many beers to choose from, but there are better stores in Massachusetts (Julio’s is another one, for example). Be careful when you buy singles they sometimes show up as 6-packs on the cash register screen. That happened 3 times during my last visit alone and I had to be alert to avoid getting billed 20$ too many.“

“Huge store for beer lovers. Micro, Macro, and all in between. The great news is they sell single bottles if you desire and they do not gouge the prices for doing so! A MUST VISIT.“

“Big and bigger. Huge selection of beers though part of them crappy macro ones. Good prices and a selection of micro beers, that I believe must be among the best in the whole state. Heaven for a serious beer drinker!“

“Right off I84 on thew way to Mass Pike. This store has a huge selection of beer. Only a few real rarities, but more of the New England stuff that I don’t find at home. There were a few stray bottles of Pizza Port, and a few of the Unibroue beers that i’ve not yet been able to obtain.“

“Stopped here on my way back from New Hampshire. Right off highway 84..The selection of craft beer was excellent, a huge wall of beer and can break six packs. Prices very reasonable. I will be back to this store in a few months from now without a doubt.“

“This place was great... One of the better beer stores I have ben to. Very friendly staff. Said to be the biggest packaged liqour stores in New England. I visited by buddy in Brookfield, MA and we had a blast checking out as many of the local beers as possible. The place is seriously loaded with liqour and beer. I highly recommend checking it out“

“Well, this place was a pleasant surprise. They have many of the common things you’d find at a Town and Country, but they have a much better Cantillon selection. Their trappist selection is quite weak. They have a decent variety of NE micros as well as more widely distributed big brands. The real highlight of this store was the bottle of Jadwiga that I found as well as their nice selection of Sakes. This is worth the stop if youre at the I84/Masspike intersection.“

“Well I drove about 80 miles round trip to go to this store and was severely disappointed. Perhaps I got there at a bad time? I dont know. I do know that the best/rarest beer I walked away with was a Stone Old Guardian 04, which isnt rare at all. Bunch of old dusty local seasonals. I kept waiting to stumble upon something unique that I havent seen somewhere else, but I never did. Prices were good though.“

“This is a great beer store, in my opinion. First off, they let you break up six-packs--that’s invaluable. Second, the selection of New England beers makes it worth the stop. I have found all of the states (including Rhode Island) represented, with beers from desirable breweries like Cisco and McNeills. Convenient enough to CT so that every time I’m in Hartford I can convince my friend to drive me up there. They still had plenty of Oude Beersel (July 04) plus lots of other great things (e.g. 3L bottles of Double Bastard).“

“This is my supplier and they have a pretty good selection from all over the world. Christmas time is the best time to buy from here as they straighten up the shelves and restock. During Oktoberfest they have a free taste-testing with free food too. They also put together beer dinners at local resturants.“

“Great selection, especially of New England stuff and Belgians. They still have some Oude Beersel here (Feb 2004) so snap it up! Also the only place I saw DFH Pangaea on a recent trip, and Christoffel gift packs. Usually the best selection of Berkshire, Wachusett and several other MA microbrews that you'll find. Dated stuff less of a problem than in the past, but I'd still be careful. Some good cider choices as well, and a small homebrewing section. Hard to get help, but it might be worth it to do so, they have in the past had stuff in back or underneath piles of other things that was worth getting to.“
