“Nice little shop. I didn't have a huge amount of time. There seemed to be a decent selection of bottled beers.“

“Nice cosy pub with free wifi. Friendly landlord. The only 2 handpulls were doom Bar and Landlord on the day I visited so not worth going out of your way for but Arkwrights/SPAR is very close with a selection of Hattie Brown local beers.“

“Narrow deli with a friendly and helpful owner. Initially appeared to have the standard 10 or so Swanage beers and ciders (Hattie Brown's, Isle of Purbeck, Purbeck Cider, etc) before I then spotted a few seperate bottles. Three beers from a new brewery to me, Barefaced. The owner also explained that she had bottles in from a new cidery but when she checked they'd sold out. The sausage rolls, quiches and other beige food all looked tempting but that will have to wait until a return visit. Anyway worth dropping in to see if they have different in stock.“

“Shabby chic cafe and deli. The original one is in Wareham. An array of local beers and ciders (maybe 15 bottles). The woman that served us couldn't understand my or my wife's English so the order took longer than it should have and I got given the wrong beer but at least it was a tap. We were thinking of having lunch there one day but they're obviously aiming at the yacht crowd. £9 for a sausage roll. Paintings on sale for £250. Although as they have their own in-house butcher i would be tempted to try a Sunday roast but no idea how much it is because there was no price listed. Returned to grab a bottle of the beer I had originally ordered.“

“Run down pub. Locals reading the paper and drinking a lager. More people outside having a smoke with their babies. Due to the whole Covid-19 situation may not have seen it in it's best light. Only one cask beer on. Around 6 ciders. All from Lilleys. Most of the food options had run out and the food we did get was not very good. The staff were particularly uninterested seeming. But were a out 16 and perhaps had just not got any training. Let's face it, of you are Swanage you may as well drop in. Hopefully more beers will be on.“

“We went into one of the town centre pubs just as a woman puked onto the lap of the bloke sitting next to her. Therefore the decision was made that that pub was not the place for two families to bring their kids. Headed up to the Black Swan which was close to where our friends were staying. Pretty disappointing beer wise. Three casks from Otter (a tick at least), DBC and something along the line of Marstons. Standard macro lagers on keg. However there not much more room as the bar is quite small in what is a old low ceilinged building. The food looked good. Friendly locals were sat in the well maintained garden. Suspect this is where the locals come to avoid the pissed up bank holiday revelers in the middle of town. . “

“Dropped in to get some milk and took a look at the beers. On first glance it was the standard range of corner shop lagers and bitters. However I then noticed that they had the full range of Hattie Brown beers and also some T-shirts. The young guy running it was not wearing a uniform and was chatting away to someone down an aisle so at first assumed he was some dodgy local kid. Not an essential place and only added because ig you are in the vicinity it's a place to pick up some local ticks.“

“Now called Wine Yard. As of my visit of a couple of days ago it is still the place to come to in Swanage for local ticks: Hattie Browns, Piddle, Sandbanks, Gyle 59 and others. A few Dorset ciders and there was a mead as well but not sure that was local. Their Facebook page mentiones craft but I only spotted some Punk IPA. He guy behind the counter was pretty miserable. However I wanted new Dorset breweries and that's what I got.“

“Visited twice in May 2014. Basic bottle shop across the road from the station. Decent range of local bottle conditioned beers from the local area. Prices not too bad, service decent. Handy to know it’s there!“

“Pub in the town in Swanage, offers a beer from Dorset Piddle brewery and 1 from Otter plus 2 other locals. Lively pub with a quiz on when visited. Decent atmosphere and the pub was busy. Worth a look in as had beers on not available anywhere else in Swanage“

“2 roomed pub on the High St in Swanage, selection of ales and ciders. Beer selection isn’t overly inspiring with Doom Bar, Ringwood, Otter and Landlord featuring regularly, also offer a lot of ciders. A reasonable selection for the area and best in Swanage from a pub.“

“Basically a general bottle shop with wine, liquor and soda pops but has also a fine selection of local beers and ciders. A few international best sellers are naturally also represented, but I also found a few rare American micro brews I never heard about before. But the main reason to visit this place is the local selection. Average pricing and average service.“
