“This is the current brewery tap for Goodh brewery but not for much longer as it will all move to the Skinners site once it is ready. About a dozen beers on keg available, all from Goodh. Lots of bench seating and some patio benches too. It's down a side street but close to the centre of Truro. Shame it will move but well worth visiting.“

“Just a place holder. It opened at 3pm on the day I visited and my coach was due to leave at 1pm, so read the other reviews. It is up a steep hill and looks cosy from the exterior.“

“Best looking place in Truro. Card only, no cash. There are 6 taps and loads of beers in fridges which you can drink there or take away. They have lots of verdant which is good to see“

“JDW on the main square. Some outdoor seating. Busy and so the service was a bit slow.“

“Rating for online order earlier in 2021. Decent range of both local brews and those from further afield. Good prices. One bottle smashed in transit through less than ideal packaging. Other than that all good. I'd shop there again.“

“Popped in on a trip round Cornwall prior to our second lockdown. Lots of old dark wood and low light make this place have a dark old pub feel. Randomly lots of peanut husks broken up on the floor. Mostly skinners beers but two guest from Padstow and St Ives breweries. 7 hand pumps serving on my visit.“

“The shop has now moved and is more bar with lots of packaged beers too. Roughly 10 beers on tap from far and wide, 2 new breweries for me today. It's a top beer destination. Thank you UKBeergeek for putting me on to this lovely little beer shop. Tucked along a small road close to The Old Ale House. Small in stature but packed out with an interesting selection of beer ranging from local Cornish Breweries, spreading through the UK and a small selection of continentals. Friendly and informative staff. Well worth a visit.“

“Street corner pub in the centre of Truro, close to the bus station which acts as the Skinner's Brewery Tap. It's friendly and welcoming, the bar runs down the left hand side then scattered tables and chairs throughout. Lovely wooden floors well oiled by the monkey nut shells that get trodden in daily. There are the Skinners range of beers available plus guest casks, also a range of interesting kegs. Pub wise this is the only game in town and makes a good combo with The Red Elephant Bottle Shop just down the road saving what was possible a bleak day in Truro.“

“It's quite a climb to get to this pub if starting from Truro town centre, but as it is a current GBG 2019 selection I made the effort. It's a comfortable local with a reputation for food, indeed the tables are set up for diners, but they didn't mind me grabbing one. The biggest difficulty in this pub is the bar flies, usually I'm quite adept at working my way through but these really don't want you to get anywhere near. When I finally found out what was available it was somewhat disappointing, a couple of nationals plus a pretty ropy Betty Stogs as it turned out, I didn't change it because working your way back through that lot didn't seem worth it.“

“Large Wetherspoons by the Bus Station in Truro, handy for the Quay-sides too. Very busy on lunch time food trade. Little in the way of new beers to be had in there though. Suffering from some usual Wetherspoons faults, slow service, uncleared tables, sticky carpets. Not one to return to.“

“Smallish shop close to the centre of town. The guy I spoke to there was both friendly and knowledgeable. Nice selection of mostly UK and Belgian beers with some other stuff thrown in. Prices were OK. Definitely worth a look, didn't see a better shop whilst I was in Cornwall.“

“Very much a friendly locals pub up quite a steep hill on the outskirts of Truro. Largely open plan but there are a variety of drinking areas with a lot of tables set up for diners. A raised area at the back leads outside to a sun trap of a drinking area. The beers were being dispensed from casks set up behind the bar, but they were holding a beer festival this weekend and had a selection of mainly Cornish ales on offer, all in great condition.“

“This is a Skinners brewery tap close to the bus station in Truro. Ornate frontage leads into a large single room bar area with wooden floor. Plenty of old beer barrels form part of the furnishings. Plenty of taps serving Skinners ales, and also real ciders. Impressive range of spirits served too. Good food menu, and free monkey nuts.“
