“This seems like a low-budget student canteen more than a bar. And "restaurant" is definitely an overstatement. Fortunately it had a pleasant garden out back with some interesting unidentifiable (to us nordo-baltic types) trees. Inside, there's a simple policy of no cards and no English, so it required black belt yoga to keep my three hands on the three pumpclips so she didn't forget that the three of us wanted the only three beers they had on tap. Part of the confusion lay in the fact that there was a 4th pumpclip that was labelled, but not turned round when the beer was taken off. Ticks were had, from a new brewery too, so it did perform some function.“

“Once you've been to Beer & Bar Brothers, visit the cash machine on the square, and only then visit here. Don't do it the other way round like we did. It's quite easy to find - leave the square from the opposite corner, and continue in that same direction for about the length of the square again - it's just across the main road. Huge garden, with wonderful foeder-sized barrels as individual booths to sit in down the back edge. Fun staff, a nice friendly vibe. 3 ticks from 2 new-to-us local breweries on tap. Craftiness level was a bit high, and the maracuja nonsense (scoring a mighty 1.9) was horrifically overpriced. Seems very popular, the place was buzzing towards the end, but maybe that's because this weekend is a town festival? Definitely worth popping in here. It did food, which was our original plan, but when we noticed that they didn't take cash, we headed to B&BB instead, and ate there - was better VFM I'm sure.“

“On the side of one of the squares towards the edge of the centre, with a lovely big terrace, fitted with even lovelier, even bigger, umbrellas - yes, it had been raining, but we were going to sit outside, it had been a swelteringly hot summer day. 6 taps, all ticks, all local, and a fridge full of Buchtak beers, presumably there's some connection. Bar food was tasty, we had the mixed meat and cheese plate, and a hearty goulash. Beers were pretty crafty in places, but some were excellent - I even likened one Louka beer to an Oakham! Both English and plastic payment work. Good place on the beer map, would definitely recommend.“

“An utter gem, and that's just the owner. What a great shop. Stocked with a wide range of different beers from breweries from all over Czechia and nearby countries - many were new to us. Great English spoken, we were chin wagging about beer for so long she almost forgot to charge us! It's a small place, but one wall was basically just full of fridges, there must have been well over a couple of hundred beers to choose from. The best beer shop since The Cracked Kettle, RIP.“

“Seems to be a Rotor place. Has a cafe-like vibe. Staff were friendly and spoke good English. It looked like at least 10 Rotor bottles in the fridge, we didn't have time or space for any more than just the two on tap. Worth a visit, in particular if Rotor Brewery, a short train ride away, is closed.“

“I would say this is a dive bar. But also official taproom of the brewery in town. But also a dive bar. Dive bar. Nice beer garden. Absolutely ugly kitchen, wouldn't even dare to sniff the food. Not the cleanest of the toilets. Cash only. No English spoken nor understood. Hands and legs were used to order a beer. But at the end everything was achieved.“

“Tiny bit out of center, but totally worth walking here. Takes you about 5 minutes from Beer Brothers. Cash only place. 3 local beers on tap. Huge beer garden, where you can sit inside the barrels. Quite fun and stylish I would say. English spoken.“

“This is a hidden gem of the town. Not hard to find at all, quite close to the center. Hostess super friendly and speaks English. Large variety of different styles, from different breweries and different countries. We had a nice chat with owner. Must visit place when in town.“

“This was bit of unexpected find, but totally worth adding here. They seem to have some connection with Rotor brewery 'cause half of the taps were by them. Fridge also contained fair amount of Rotor beers (big bottles). Don't believe what googlemaps or any other site shows as pumpclips (Kozel at the time writing), they just haven't changed them. English was spoken and card accepted. And beer was delicious.“
