“This is a pretty cool hidden gem. A great upstairs patio and a nice feel inside. Service was good and they know the beer pretty well. A surprisingly good tap list when considering the location. Prices were on the low side and food was quite good. I try to stop in whenever I am in the area!“

“This place is undoubtedly a hidden gem in a town that is lacking options. The venue is very small with outdoor/indoor seating on a patio and patio seating on a roof. They have a room available for private events and infrequently hold tap takeovers. They have thirty craft beers on tap, many of them are really highly regarded. Beers such as Darkness and Cassian Sunset have been known to sit on the menu for a couple weeks. Expect any major beer release in the area to hit their menu at some point. Also expect a reasonable pour size and price. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and have very loyal and friendly frequenters. The food is barbecue and pub style. They recently purchased a new smoker from the South and their head chef is really trying to hone in on smoking their meats. They have great pizzas as well that are made from scratch. Pricing is very reasonable. If you really do enjoy beer and are looking for a good meal while in the Southwest suburbs, look for this place on Main St in Waconia.“

“Only two years old and really picking up some steam in Waconia. Appropriately sized and really comfortable tap room with plenty of seating and a fireplace. They also have a popcorn machine and a patio in the summer. They often have food trucks and there are plenty of places near by to order food. There beer is definitely getting to a point where it can compete with the beer being made in the cities, especially with some of their beers in the last 9 months or so. Their flagships really seemed inconsistent for a while but are getting much better and consistent. Their selection is excellent. Definitely worth the trip.“

“Fun place to go if one is looking for a winery in addition to a brewery. The taproom is very nice and large with communal seating. There is lot of outdoor seating and a pretty view of the vineyard. They often have events and food trucks. The beer is acceptable but nothing overly impressive. It does seem to be getting better but is also $6 per pint. Service there has been hit or miss. Their variety does seem to be expanding and the beer seems to be improving so we’ll see where it goes.“

“It’s difficult for me to oversell this place, because it is simply awesome. Located a ways out from the Twin Cities metro loop, but well worth the drive. Reminds me in a way of Dave’s Brew Farm, but this is a much nicer place in so many ways. Beautiful views from the interior overlooking Reitz Lake. The exterior features bocce ball lanes, umbrella tables and a couple of secondary bars. Their concept of doing wine and beer is unique and refreshing and I found the ones I sampled to be excellent. They had 3 different IPAs on, in addition to a number of others, and the one IPA I had was excellent. They typically have food trucks on weekends. It’s a 20 mile drive from my house, but I will be back as often as I can.“

“Beautiful place. Been here a couple of times. Wanted to have my wedding here but it was too small. Great wine, good beer. 5-8 beers on tap of varying styles. Nothing mind-blowing but worth a visit. Far from the populace but still a cool place. I recommend a visit on a nice summer or fall day.“

“A decent sized taproom with a modern feel. Large bar with seating surrounding. Place was pretty busy on a friday night but bartenders were able to keep up. 9 beers were on tap with samplers available. No food available but looked like you could bring your own in. Prices were decent. A solid taproom.“

“A vineyard that also has a brewing operation. Situated on top of a hill over looking the vineyards and a lake off in the distance it is quite picturesque. A few bocci ball pits as well. Service was great but not particularly beer oriented. They had 8 beers on tap and a sampler available. They had a mobile pizza oven come in during my visit which was solid. A bit pricey. A cool spot if not really out of the way.“

“Checked out this small town brewery on a Saturday afternoon in March, 2015. It is about 35-40 minutes from Minneapolis. Located in what appears to be a new construction, strip mall building. Inside it is much more interesting with the fireplace and comfortable chairs in the corner. Lots of wood panels, and also many tables and a good sized bar with stools I found uncomfortable. Two televisions. The young guy pouring the beer was friendly enough, and described the beers in terms of light/dark so maybe he thought I was new. Free popcorn, and a food truck outside. Flights were available. Four full size beers came to $21 plus tip. The wit and wheat beers were bad, the ipa and stout were good. If I were local, this would be a great place to spend a cold winter afternoon, watching sports at the bar. I did not see a patio area. As it is, I respectfully recommend they reconsider their prices, which seem to be $5.25 per, because some of the quality is not there, and it is a long drive when I have so many options close to home in the metro area where I can find a pour for $5. This is easily combined with a day including Excelsior, and Schram, so it is something to do. I wish them luck.“

“Nice new taproom. 8 beers on so far. Very friendly service. I like that they open earlier in the day. Beers are okay, but they are just getting started.“

“Sweet spot! Large outdoor beer/mead/wine tasting area - covered porch and non-covered areas. Kind of out in the country a bit - makes for a nice vibe. Beers are okay, meads are very good. Food truck was onsite. Very nice staff. Had a sampler set of 3 meads and 4 beers, all for $10, and that included keeping the logo tasting glass. Great deal.“

“This is the only place in Waconia where you can buy Surly. They also have a small build your own six pack area. I’m really only adding this place due to the ability to get Surly this far out. ...Update 9/24/2010 - This place seems to have figured out that the ex-urbs needs craft beer. The manager is a great guy and tries to get some of the big hits running through the metro. Not a massive selection by any means, but it is just fine for Waconia!“
