“Visited for a work happy hour. Nice waterside location in downtown Wayzata right on the cool waters of Lake Minnetonka. The outdoor patio’s legitimately lovely when the weather cooperates. As for the beer - it was surprisingly OK! This place opened last year with a lot of bad buzz in the local scene, so I was pretty apprehensive to visit (many complaints of high prices and gross beer). However, while I can’t say the beer’s anything better than mediocre, I was pleasantly surprised to drink serviceable renditions of a gose and kolsch. Happy hour pricing brought the price of pints to about $5 a pour, which isn’t bad at all considering the location. Overall, I can’t particularly give this place a strong recommendation, but it’s not a bad option if you’re in the mood for a waterside pint in the west metro.“

“Visited on a Friday evening while the band/guy was doing sound check. Cool spot on the water in downtown. Nice looking lake themed taproom. Upon arrival staff ignored us with their backs to us, taproom was pretty much empty. One finally looked up from peeling a grapefruit to serve us. Had one beer, the Lager, which was a non offensive lager. Luckily another server came over and chatted us up and gave us a sample of their "brandy" wine. Not a place I’d go out of my way for but if you’re in downtown wayzata or checking out breweries in the lake Minnetonka area in the summer it’s worth a stop.“

“This place has a great atmosphere and location being on Lake Minnetonka, but this might be the first place I could not finish my beer both times I visited. Both times I left disappointed. Their taproom looks very nice and has a great patio. Their bartenders are not very knowledgeable and neither is the majority of their clientele. I will never give this place a chance again.“

“A welcome addition to the West metro craft beer scene, and one that has done a brilliant job of finding and leveraging a prime spot along the Lake Minnetonka shoreline in Wayzata. The outside patio is really nice, butting right up to the marina and offering outstanding views of the lake and downtown Wayzata. The downside is that the patio is pretty small, so if you go during warm weather months you’ll want to strategically plan your arrival time so that you can get a spot on the patio. WBW is located adjacent to, and in the same building as 6 Smith, which is an excellent, somewhat upscale restaurant. So, although WBW offers only free popcorn, you can pair your visit with a meal at 6 Smith. The location is also great for bike riders as stands at the start of a really nice trail that meanders through Lake Minnetonka West towards Mound. The beer is good, not great (yet), so with all the great beer options in the metro not sure I will go there during the winter months without the patio experience. But the place is stellar and the beer is good enough, so go with that in mind.“

“A great location right on Lake Minnetonka. They have a nice patio that takes advantage of this. However the inside was a bit dark. Service was pretty good and the bartender knew a bit about the beer. They had 8 taps available on my visit. No food on site. The prices were the most expensive I have seen from a brewery in the MSP area. I understand it is located in the highly affluent Wayzata area, but man. Go for the ambiance.“

“Well, this is a very mixed rating. The place is terrific. Awesome vibe inside with an open patio right on the marina / bay. Production gear is set up like a museum, with sweet lighting effects. The beer, I’m afraid, is forgettable at best. Flights available. Hope the beer improves, this place could be a gem.“

“Wine-oriented store with a decent selection of beer. There’s perhaps 250 bottles available including plenty of locals. Service was prompt but kind of strange. The beer guy approached me as soon as I started browsing their selection and randomly fired off a bunch of recommendations before he even knew what kind of stuff I was looking for. Prices were a bit dear for the area. Overall, not a premier destination in the twin cities. I’d only recommend a visit if you’re close by and have some time to kill.“
