“Excited to have had a chance to check this place out. Inside is basically like you're transported into a classic European pub. Beer list is well-curated--some whalez in the cellar list, but more fun to explore the drafts of the moment and see what the proprietors like (at least for me). Prompt service, terrific food, 6oz or half pints of everything available if you want to tick - just an awesome place and I hope to be back sometime.“

“A local recommended I visit this brewery that I never heard of since I was just a few blocks away, on vacation, and obviously really into beer. Glad I ran into it. The tap list is mostly pretty trendy stuff these days, hazies, kettle sours, adjuncts, etc but there's also some more classic styles like traditional lagers and such. The quality of everything is quite good, proof the brewers know what they're doing. Service was awesome, friendly, efficient. The vibe is open, clean, with modern lighting, football on TV, and a good amount of seating on the patio. Next time I'm in Decatur I'll be back.“

“Visited after Brick Store. Nice patio outside. The place struck me more as a restaurant than a beer bar. They had 10 taps on of mostly locals, but nothing super interesting. Some 30-40 bottles. OK for a beer or two.“

“Nice cozy brick and wood interior. Small patio in front and a beer garden in the back. The place was quite busy during my visit. Well curated list of 25 taps, plenty of different styles. Unfortunately not so many interesting beers during my visit, but looks way better today. Lots of vintage bottles which are quite pricey. Most of the selection starts at 25-30$ and goes up from there. Very good place, can be excellent depending on your preferences.“

“Nice place with pretty large bar room and plenty of outside seating. There was a gig inside, lovely Americana music. They had 24 taps on. Couple of lagers, bunch of different sours and IPAs, wheat and several high ABV beers. Plenty of choice and I liked what I've tried. They do have some special bottles in the merch room, to go or drink in. Really friendly service. I'm glad I stopped here on my way from Avondale to Decatur.“

“Large bar room with couple of tall tables. Lots of barrels and brewery equipment in the back. Fairly large beer garden in the back. Not very busy during my Sunday afternoon visit. They had 12 different beers during my visit, had just a lager which was average. They serve half pours. Pretty good prices. OK for a quick stop.“

“Interior is open, clean (well, they're brand-new) and inviting. Server knows his craft and the beers. What they serve ranges from decent to very good - and with time they should do even better. Worth finding, and visiting again and again.“

“Stopped in for lunch on route up north. They are being nice and careful during COVID era. Cool cozy and classy brick decor. Belgian emphasis. Most drafts were Christmas specials plus 10% abv. So nice to find draft list that has this focus versus 1000 ipas. Food was excellent fries were perfect. Huge cellar list of that’s you thing. Wonderful place a top 50 joint that lives up to its ranking.“

“Not exactly an eye-catching place that screams "Lots of craft beer" but definitely worth visiting. Their service is first-rate. Though they downplay their beer selection, they have some great brews, including plenty of craft brews in singles. You can grab a lot of good stuff without paying a lot. Worth a visit if you live and/or work in Decatur - heck, worth a few visits.“

“Tucked away off East Lake Drive, it can be hard to spot but is definitely worth finding. They have a good selection of beers - try half pours so you can have several. I didn't have a chance to sample the food, so I'll have to comment on that during a later visit. The server was friendly and helpful, and made sure I had a pleasant experience. These people know their brewing art!“

“This is apparently a Decatur institution, and since I just moved here had to check it out. I'm glad that I did! Cozy interior gives an intimate, but not cramped, atmosphere. Servers are great, and they have some good stuff on tap. Food is quite good, more like that one would find at a restaurant than at a bar. Definitely a must if you live and/or work in Decatur.“

“Dang, I didn't realize these guys have been open for so long. I haven't been to Decatur in probably 8 or 9 years so I guess that stands to reason. Anyway, Georgia law has been fixed in the last couple years so you can just go to the bar and order a pour of beer like a normal person. The tasting room is tucked back in a warehouse complex but they've done their best to make it feel like drinking in a comfortable old brick building. The rail is less than 10 minutes away on foot across a bridge over the highway. There's plenty of patio seating not that you'd want to be outside in this brutal 95 degree/80 percent humidity Georgia weather. It's not even May yet, folks. But Three Taverns had a great selection available spanning from a Belgian dark strong to a pilsner to a NE IPA to more experimental beers like a rice, tea ale or a grit, juniper ale. Quality is quite good across the board. The prices were friendly, in line with most places in the area. There was the older male patron who thought I was somehow selecting the trite playlist of The Eagles, Steely Dan, Styx, etc. Nah man, I hate the Eagles but at least I had not had a bad day. Pretty amusing notion. Anyway, I would definitely recommend visiting Three Taverns especially if you're hitting some of the other spots in Decatur.“

“Visited April 2018. This place has great selection (including a St. Bernardus exclusive), impressive vintage bottle menu, but they pour 16oz mostly,no flights, no half pours. A big no no for tickers or if you are from out of town.“

“About a 20 minute drive east of Atlanta, this place is a gem for the Belgian beer enthusiast. Pay parking out front ($2/hr until 6pm). The interior is beautifully designed and very comfortable. Draught list is well-curated. No flights - if beers come in pints, you can do half-pints; otherwise, you’re stuck with 10 and 13 oz pours, so definitely NOT a ticking spot. Staff will let you sample the beers though. If you come later in the day, you can go up to their beautiful Belgian beer bar with 8 taps. Their cellar is huge, with almost 1000 bottles - lots of lambic, other Belgians and a nice US list. They have a cellar bottle flight of 4 pre-selected beers for $20, but the chosen beers were fairly uninteresting. Extremely friendly and welcoming service. Great place.“

“I have been here a couple of times before, but more for the cocktails, so apparently it never got entered as a review. Doing a decent business, but not crazy on a Wednesday night. Nice outside area with a cover, which helped in the weather. Dining area and bar area have a decent ambiance. Taplist was interesting, but they were out of my first choice. I ended up in cocktail land again after one beer, but it was an enjoyable experience. If you are really interested in beer you should go around the corner to Brick Store, but Leon's is not a bad alternative if you (or your buddies) would rather dip into cocktail land.“

“Dinner stop after an evening telecom. Chosen because its in RB and its a block from Brick Store and Leons. Doing a brisk business on a Wednesday night but I took a spot at the bar. Decent taplist, nothing crazy but a nice selection of local/regional beers. Burritos were solid, chips were thin and crispy, made in house.“

“Often crowded but for good reason. Cozy and the beer selection is unbelievable. If you ever get an opportunity to see their cellar, do it! You kind of gotta know someone though. It is incredible. Quoted from the pub website - "We believe this to be the largest beer cellar in the United States and one of the largest in the world."“

“Nice pub feel, with trinkets and knick knacks everywhere on the walls, and as others stated it was empty at lunch. Service was curt and to the point, but knew the beers and got me in and out on a lunch in less than 30 minutes. Beer selection was pretty solid, varying styles and lots of locals. Food was also solid. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way for it, but if you're in Decatur and have already exhausted some other options its a cool spot.“

“In the door right before 8 on a Thursday in the middle of August 2017. Heard about this from a local who was working here, and said they’d been open less than 6 months. Calm and serene décor with the walls and ceiling all in grey. Decent crowd, but not crowded, still room at the bar and a small chunk of the tables still open. Four of their own on tap, full pours are 6 each. They may or may not be willing to do halves in a sampler style thing. They did for me, but it might not be standard. I’d imagine as they increase the amount of their own offerings that they may eventually offer flights. Super friendly service. Rest of the 16-tap list includes some ATL locals and then some craft from around the country. Nice enough list, and if this was my local brewery I wouldn’t mind the option to try some out of market things for a reasonable price while trying their new beers.
Apparently, in addition to their quite nice enough (for my shunning of the sunlight aesthetic) inside space, they have a really gorgeous outside space as well that seems to seat about as many people as the indoor space does, and seemed to be well populated during my visit. They have a (very) full bar, which seems like it accounted for a very small chunk of the drinks while I was there, as most patrons were on beer, but I could imagine it making up a bit more of the business later into the weekend hours. Probably still getting everything sorted out and I’d imagine a few missteps, but from what I saw they seem to be off to a very good start. Worth a stop. “

“Open interior with exposed ceilings, loaded with barrels and tanks, a cool bar and nice tables for sitting or standing. An outdoor patio if the weather is nice enough. Selection was decent, all the core beers and then some extra seasonals and one-offs. Bar staff was friendly and inviting, looking forward to September 1st I’m sure. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in Decatur, and you can hit a couple others that day if timing is right.“

“Visited here in early May ’17. Closest liquor store to Emory - went there to pick up boxes to help son pack up his dorm room and they were more than happy to help me, Has a solid selection of craft, back wall is a cooler full - picked up a six from Monday Night - plenty of locals to choose from. Good, friendly local neighborhood liquor store, fewer and fewer of these around it seems.“

“Visited March 2017. Nice enough place, warm and inviting. Super nice bartender that knew about the beers. Beers ranged from good to okay, nothing bad. Six of their beers on tap and a few bottles/cans. I did not try the food but it looked good. Would definitely come back if in the area!“

“Open, inviting, unpretentious interior has access to the outside if you would rather enjoy your beers al fresco. Rough-hewn benches are the right height for sitting on a stool or standing. Servers make you feel welcome, music is not too loud. Hidden on a side road in Decatur, they are worth finding.“

“Visited here in mid-February ’17 while in town visiting my son. Great place, rustic old pub feel to it with lots of brick. Rotating tap list with some very eclectic offerings, Swedish Gose for instance. The bottle list is amazing, tons of aged beers and lots of verticals, some priced in the $100s. Food is typical pub grub, pretty solid, but not extensive, the focus is more on the beer. Some place that any beer geek should visit once in their life.“

“I met the new brewer the previous night in the Brick Store. We got to chatting and I though, yeah gotta check this place out. Big place, diner-style almost, with a big curved bar and plenty of seating for drinkers and/or diners. 9 house beers on tap, ranging from 5.2 to 8.8%. So perfect for lunchtime. You can also opt for a can or bottle from a more familiar outfit if you don’t have your ticking hat on. Recommended.“

“Hip little place in Decatur town centre. Tends to cater to the young uns. Dark but atmospherically rather that dingily so. 12 beers on tap, some local but most dedicated to the great and good of USA brewing. A full can and bottle list as well, which is illustrated by a clear beer menu. Not the biggest selection but they know their beer, and quality is more important than quantity. Friendly, beer-focused and basically a good place to be.“

“Yes, it is that good. The first aroma I get is the scent of pine, but that’s from the Christmas decorations that add a festive air to this dark, quirky and atmospheric bar. They’ve got 21 beers on tap - on my festive visit divided into ’Holiday beers’, ’US craft’ and ’Foreign draft’. That’s not counting the 8-tap Belgian bar upstairs. Quite a few bottles and cans, but the cherry on the cake is the ’cellar flight’: aged beers from 2007 to 2014, served in very small measures (4 for $20). Basically, they get beer, and they get us. Ticking, drinking and being paradise. As perfect as we will get in this universe.“

“Last stop prior to the airport. This is a much busier part of town, made worse by the major road construction in the area. Fortunately they have a dedicated lot. Reasonably busy at lunchtime on Friday, large restaurant area and bar in the back. They do flights of whatever they have, which in my case was 6 beers (three taps were blown). Beers fairly mediocre for the most part, but a couple of decent ones mixed in. Fairly loud music.“

“Three Taverns is walking distance from Blue Tarp, which is exactly what I did when the comedy show started. Large outdoor seating area and a fairly cozy indoor with a small bar, a few table and a standing bar around the perimeter of the place. Fairly busy place, inside and out. Paid my $14 for a "tour" and set to work on my tastes. The guy behind the bar was super nice and friendly, real quality service. Beers were a bit mixed, but pretty good overall. Definitely a place i would return to.“

“A fantastic stop a little ways outside downtown Atlanta was well worth a late night visit. The only major downside was that they would not do sample or half pours and you could only order one beer at a time. That said the selection was on par with the best bars that I have been to. The interior even has a nice faux Belgian feel that is only broken by the sounds of Georgia traffic. If you only manage to get to one place in town this wouldn’t be a bad choice.“

“Nicer mid to upscale hip vibe with a big outdoor patio and lots of wood tables inside, a decent sized bar as you walk in. Service was great, very nice, knew the menu well, knew enough about beer. Selection was solid, slightly rare tap list with a well selected bottle list, to be expected when owned by the brick store guys. Food was fantastic, options across the board. A bit pricey, but expected for that area of town. Definitely worth a stop!“

“An irish pub in the square in Decatur. This is a cool looking old school Irish bar. The craft selection is not top notch but they do keep a few dozen craft beers along with Irish staples on tap. The whiskey selection is amazing if you are interested in that. The food Ive had is good. Some Irish dishes and pub far. If you are in Decatur you are probably going to be at Brick Store. This is across the parking lot so check it out for a few beers or shots. Nice place.“
