“Visited on route to Atlanta dodging hurricane Dorian. Centrally locates and nice throwback rock decor. Handsome bar with subway tiles. 12 beers on tap, had one which I enjoyed and bought 2 to go. Food was decent and tasty. Service slow but that’s the area.“

“It's probably the best place for craft beer in Macon. Small inside with beer paraphernalia galore, a cozy bar. Beer leans towards local and regional, which is cool, but nice selection of craft throughout. Solid stop in a town with few options.“

“Visited here in early February '19. Smallish Mom and Pop liquor store, Decent selection of Georgia brewers represented, a few dozen perhaps, a few West coast micros. Pretty much all in six packs, no bombers or singles other than a few miscellaneous malt liquors, Best thing going for this place is the convenience to I-75 - right off an exit south of town.“

“Visited here in early August '18 on a Saturday for lunch. Wide open clean space in a converted store front. Walk-up separate food and beer service, they do let you keep one tab though. Bar stools by the brewing equipment and then several communal tables. Food menu is burger oriented with a few salads and sandwiches as well. I had a summer salad after a heavy food weekend, it was excellent. Have about 10 on tap, a few cores, some seasonals and a few experimentals. The three I had were decent enough. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. A nice addition to the seemingly burgeoning Macon beer scene.“

“Visited here in early August '18 on the way up to Athens on a Thursday for lunch. Great downtown location, parking not a problem, plenty of open meters. Big, wide open space in an old converted building, Have about 10 or so of their own on tap, the three I had were top notch. Available in tasters, half pints, pints and growlers. Pub grub menu, I had a smoked chicken salad sandwich and pimento macaroni and cheese - both were tasty and filling. Service was quick and friendly. Not too far off the beaten path of I-16 or I-75 - worth a stop. Funny Macon coincidence, my first choice, Midnight Rider Robust Porter, was ordered right as the Allman Brothers (from Macon) "Midnight Rider" came on the jukebox.“

“Nice brewery in towntown Macon. Nice casual place. The beers were decent, though nothing really great. Food is served at a separate walk up counter. The food looked good, although we did not try anything.“

“The burgers are good enough that my wife and kids choose to eat here when we're passing through Macon. Pimento cheese is pretty good. Two visits the burgers we're incredible. One visit they were just good. Beerhall style seating with large tables. The beer seems to have improved since some of the older reviews. This wouldn't rate in a place like Atlanta where they'd have to compete against places like Torched Hop, but I thought the beers I've had here were better than Piedmont.“

“So, Macon is getting a tight little brew scene that I hop into on my/our trips between Atlanta and Tallahassee. The beer is all pretty solid, no sticking-out flaws. ESB was pretty good, the porter laid waste, so street cred by my standards. Potato salad is tight. Smoked chicken salad was pretty good. Staff was very, very friendly and knowledgeable. Best stop of my May 2018 Atlanta swing.“

“There is a U-shaped bar and numerous tables in this medium size brewpub. In addition, there is another bar downstairs in front of some brewing operations along with various electronic games including pinball. Prompt and friendly service. 8 taps of beers brewed, I think, on site. However, the range of beers offered was limited to beers such as mild ales (e.g., Calif. Common), Pale ales, IPAs, and a farmhouse ale, with no dark beers. Food smelled and looked pretty good but was not tried.“

“Part of the refurbished downtown, which should be a blueprint for small cities everywhere. Inside is modern with birch tables and pine floors, all polished to a semi-shine. Flights are available (about a dozen choices). Food was a little better than typical bowling alley fare (my chicken breast sandwich had several pieces of gristle along with dry toughness that usually comes from too long under the heat lamp). Okay if you're in Macon.“

“Cool place, multi story with a fun arcade and bar area downstairs, more traditional brewpub restaurant upstairs. Service was great, friendly and knowledgeable, a bit slow, but that's par for the course in Macon honestly. Beers were all solid, and varied a nice array of styles so that just about anyone could find something they like. Food was excellent, new school bar food with a southern BBQ undertone. Definitely worth a stop in Macon.“

“Clean, Scandinavian-industrial feel to the inside of a renovated historic storefront. Parking is easy and free on the street. Food was very good - I had the fried chicken sandwich - except that the fries were a little less than crispy. Beer is decent. It's a pretty easy stop off of I-75. I'll be back.“

“Easy to find place with easy parking on a sleepy and drizzly sunday afternoon. The 2 beers I tried were solid, the smoked wings are good, a kale salad wasn't properly washed. Service was a touch slow if friendly. Decent place.“

“Visited March 2017. Great beers, great owner, great space. Cool downstairs area with arcade games, bocce ball, another bar, etc. This place is going to SLAY the other breweries in Macon and is also a cool restaurant. This will be a must hit when I return to Macon!“

“Stopped in March 2017 with rdixon77. Great place! Will be a for sure go to next time I’m in Macon. Cool spot downtown, dim bar, was hopping on a Friday night. We managed to scoop up a seat at the bar and had polite and friendly service. Good selection for Macon, plenty of GA beers and several others. Will be back! Unfortunately we did not get to eat while there.“

“Visited March 2017. Clean, cookie cutter brewpub with a sort of corporate feel. Nice, fits in well, perfect for the casual beer drinker. Beers were mediocre to bad. Did not try the food. Service was friendly, prompt, and not particularly knowledgeable about the beers depending on who you asked. Would only stop back in to get GA ticks, otherwise would hit Piedmont or Macon Beer Co or even Rookery/Bearfoot before this place.“

“Cozy little spot, good decor. Easily accessible from I-75, in the old part of town near the Mercer campus. Good selection, $2 samples. Lots of regionals. Food menu is limited, but there are some tasty selections to soak up the brew. Nice stop.“

“Cool old pub with multi level interior seating, a small bar in the back, lots of wood; feels like its been there a while and smells like beer. Service was attentive and kind, but didn’t know the most about beer, passable by most standards, especially in that town. Selection was solid for the city, local and seasonal national stuff. Food is good bar food, burgers, sandwiches and the like; if you can handle milk with your beer, definitely get a milk shake. The best spot in town for sure.“

“Killer gourmet burger place with a decent beer selection. Not a ton of beer choices, but the ones they do have are usually really good. Burgers were outstanding. Place itself is a little cramped, but it’s got a really cool vibe. Burgers alone are worth the visit, but you typically won’t be disappointed with the beer choices to help wash the food down. I’ll definitely be back.“

“Pretty nice bottle shop/growler store in the revitalized part of downtown. Bottles to go line the walls with the bar/taps in the back and seating down the middle. Large number of taps with a heavy emphasis on GA breweries. Good price on sample size glasses if you want to try a bunch of beers. Growler prices were decent, but I found bottle prices to be a little high. They store also has these stupid promotions when a good, "rare" beer is released in bottles; often requiring that you purchase a 64 oz growler fill in order to buy the bottle at full price. Unfortunately, they have the best selection in the area so there isn’t really anywhere else to go without driving to Atlanta.“

“The two of us were greeted at the door by Deano, who welcomed us and directed us to Justin and Aaron, who were working the bar. Justin took an interest in us, and, seeing that we wanted to try several local brews, suggested we split bottles and tap pours. They don’t have beer flights, so this was a good solution to the "try a lot of brews" approach we wanted. The evening went quickly, I added seven new beers to my ratings, and went away satisfied. A good place, good ambiance, and bartenders who know their stuff.“

“Visited here in early February ’15. Located in historic downtown Macon in a restored old building - very cool setting - nicely done. Have about 30 or so regional and national taps for on-site drinking or growler fills and about 100 or so singles and bombers for sale. Plenty of seating inside or out with a few TVs inside tuned to sports. Brought to you by the same folks in Warner Robins at Lazy Dog down the road. Highly recommended!“

“Visited here in early February ’15. Large, cavernous warehouse type facility located close to I-475 on the outskirts of Macon. Friendly greeting upon entering. Beer is all the way in the back - two coolers full of regional six packs, west coast craft, some common imports. Two or three warm shelves of craft six-packs with the state and region pretty well represented. Lots of import miscellaneous large bottle singles and American craft bombers, but sadly no mix and match singles allowed. Prices were pretty reasonable. Worth a stop if passing though on I-475 - not a destination though. Nice to see the Ratebeer shelf talkers everywhere.“

“Located in downtown Macon, this craft beer and growler store has about 64 beers on tap and hundreds of bottles on the shelves. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The store also has a large, comfy seating area to enjoy a pint (or six). They also have live bands on occasion. A very cool place to hang out in Middle Georgia.“

“I stopped here on both a Tuesday and Thursday night, because there is nothing else in the area. Good food, averaging around 10 or 11 dollars a burger, beers are anywhere between 4$ and 10$ a glass (KBS) , Tap list is vastly outdated on their site so you’ll just have to try. 10 taps one is usually abita rootbeer, smallish bar and street parking only. Still in SE Georgia this is probably as good as it gets.“

“A nice little unassuming place in Macon. From the outside, you wouldn’t think this place would have much of the way of craft brew. And, true, the craft section isn’t giant, but man do they pack a lot into a small section. Great bombers, many of which I haven’t seen in any other stores around (I’m looking at you Stone Imperial Russian and Vanilla Smoked Porter). It’s pretty out of the way for me, but I look forward to dropping in occasionally to see what’s new. Definitely worth a look if you are in the area (with super nice staff, too).“

“Really cool place. A little on the pricey side, but everything is quality. The food was excellent, although the fish and chips is probably big enough for two. The yukon gold whipped potatoes are about as good as mashed potatoes get. The burgers are good enough that you realize why the prices are a little higher than you’d normally expect from a burger joint. Staff was really helpful and friendly without being annoying. It is a fairly small space, although I love the fact they built a loft over the booths to increase capacity without just cramming more tables in. That being said, it is a lot of tight space. Lots of dark work and graffiti along the booths. The beer selection may have actually been no-crap-on-tap. They definitely care about the beer, though. I really like this place. It’s the first bar/restaurant I’ve found in Macon that’s actually worth going to for a beer geek.“

“As previously noted, Macon/Warner Robins is a dead spot for good beer. The past few years have gotten better, and WineStyles is one of the reasons. Though their beer selection is not very big, they have a nice variety of styles. More importantly, they let you build your own 6 pack, which gives you a slight discount over just buying individual bottles from 4 and 6 packs. If you want a few random beers to try, you can’t go wrong here.“

“Stopped by here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon in late May 2012. Funky little pizza place with an eclectic feel to it with plenty of music memorabilia on the walls. No taps, all bottles and cans and mostly crafts and common imports. Very reasonablyu priced - walked out of there only spending about $13 bucks for two slices, two beers and a tip. Good rib sticking pizza, salads, subs. All of the common crafts are represented all appear to be in the $2 or $3 range. Victory, Bells, Dogfish Head, 21st Amendment to name a few. Just a few blocks from the Allman Brothers Museum.“

“Had dinner here in late May 2012. Lively bar and grill with about 10 taps - mostly craft and about a dozen craft bottles and the rest macros. They specialize in hamburgers and I had the Black and Blue Burger with battered fries - very good and filling. On tap they had a few 21st Amendments, some Victory, Bell’s, Fun, lively crowd. Prices just a tad steep - can of 21st Amendment Monk’s Blood was $6.00.“

“Stopped by here in late May 2012. Nice little store in a nice looking shopping center. Has a solid selection of at least 100 or so craft beers and a few high caliber imports. Everything is on an island in the middle of the store and there are no coolers. Very helpful clerk brought me out a price list as nothin was marked. Prices were reasonable - most bombers in the $6 or $7 range. I was able to pick up several Clown Shoes, some from JailHouse and a few Port/Lost Abbey. Also had Victory, Rogue, Dogfish Head, the usual craft selection. Received a 5% discount because I bought more than 12 - nice touch. Easy access off of I-475 - stop by if in the area.“

“Macon is normally a dead zone for beer. Needing to buy some stuff for my Ratebrackets loss, I tried out this place. I was impressed. The selection is small; the 100 different beers sign on the door may be exaggerating, but the quality is amazing. I could have bought the entire stock and not been disappointed. Very beer geek friendly selection. Apparently the guy ordering the beer really knows what he’s doing. I just hope Macon has enough people buying the good stuff to encourage this store to stick with this. Definitely worth the stop.“
