“An attractive pub in an industrial area, hard to find unless you know the area - but easy to spot as you fly past on the dual carriageway! Fairly modern stripped pine interior, friendly staff and customers, and a good mix of their own beers and other independents (Joules, Oakham etc). Well worth seeking out.“

“Couldn’t seem to find the turn-off for this place, despite driving past it on the dual carriageway a few times, so just parked in a bus stop with the hazards on and ran down the footpath for a half. Looks pretty time-worn and a little run-down from the outside, but inside it’s a fairly cosy old-style pub vibe with all manner of photos, signs and objects adorning the walls. Always nice to see a dog at the bar too! A fair amount of cask, a few keg and no less than 4 ciders on draft too. All independents. It was all going well until the beer I got had floating sediment, and even more at the base. That said, if I lived nearby I could see myself drifting in here regularly.“

“A spacious pub tucked away out of town. 6 quality real ales and beers brewed by their own brewery on cask too. 4 real ciders and craft beer/Belgian bottles too. Good atmosphere all year round and we’ll priced. Hosts beer festival on bank holiday weekends and also has a nice beer garden out back.“

“Rather embarassingly it’s taken over 12 months for me to finally visit this pub which is just 6 miles from home. It’s a cracker, 10 hand pulls, a good selection of bottles, pork pie for sale. What more could you need. Definitely worth visiting.“
