“Brick pub right on the fast main road through the small conurbation of Shadingfield. Thankfully the road is straight so it's easy to see cars approaching from either direction from its car park. Its outdoor space is also at its rear. Despite not being a heavily populated area they pack in 8 cask ales onto the bar in the first of three similar sized front facing rooms, with the last looking set-up for mainly diners. The selection is from local micros so it's a very worthwhile place to visit.“

“Large pub/restaurant situated a few miles south of Beccles. 8 cask ale pumps serving well kept and varied ales plus a small selection of other taps and bottles. Very welcoming. Has a wrap-around bar area with a large fire for colder weather, a nice conservatory, and restaurant area. Serves good food lunchtimes and evenings. Strong focus on quality of its ales, regular in the Good Beer Guide, and has a Real Ale Club with monthly meetings and events including meet the brewer sessions, brewery visits etc.“
