“Visited early evening on Saturday 10/02. The pub was pretty busy and bubbly. However it's actually quite small so we're taking maybe 10 punters in the main bar. It's T-shape with the dining room forming the head of the T. The staff are all.well dressed and the dining room seemed to be quite smart. Although the punters seem to be genuine locals who aren't interested in the more gastro style place I passed a few 100m down the road. Five hand pumps. From what I understand the brewery is not running on full cylinders yet, so the beers are on irregularly. However I guess they're looking to have them on as standard, with a tasting room being mentioned on the website. But I'd spotted that the Warrior was on the thanks to Twitter. Otherwise there was a beer on from Wimbledon, which I believe is often the case. Then two from Triple RTF and one from Surrey Hills. The 5 kegs were 4 macro offerings but also one beer from Arbor. I meant to ask if they have guest kegs.but didn't get the chance. For a small village pub the fridge was relatively interesting with cans from Tiny Rebel, Wild and Wimbledon, amongst others. Oh yeah - two bottles from Finnish faux craft brewers Polar Monkeys. So potential Finland ticks, even if the two beers are rubbish. I guess tht £4.50 for two halves is not too bad for the stockbroker belt. If Epsom (or Epsom Common, to be precise) was somewhere I ever went to I would be a regular. However I will definitely return for ticks as it's around a 30 minute drive.“
