“A large, well-kept, old fashioned pub divided into many rooms. Really lovely bier garden on the field in front of the pub. Beers from Badger; three cask ales, more on kegs and in bottles. Food options. Polite and informative service. The place is located about 20 minutes walk from the train station in Crawley, and well worth a visit, especially in the summer time. Should not be confused with the pub/restaurant called Goffs Park near by, and connected to a Premier Inn Hotel. (Visited with Frau Eva, 13.07.2022).“

“Nice historical building, but the charm is slightly ruined by the fruit machines and wall to wall TVs. Still, there’s a good selection, five real ales and three craft beers when I was there. They also serve food in the evenings, my meal was fine for the price.“

“Nice pub in a historical building, in the very centre of Crawley (3 other interesting pubs within 100 yards distance). Several cask ales from local breweries, not only Greene King. Friendly staff. They serve food, but I did not eat. Well worth a visit.“

“Decent pub in an old historical building in the town centre, near Crawley’s other interesting pubs. Some cask ales, mainly Greene King, including sesonals in good condition. Food is served all day, but I did not eat.“

“Nice Harvey’s pub in an old building, with a few of their cask ales + bottles. Had an okay meal of gammon and eggs.“

“What the others said, mainly. The beer I asked for was gone, but they had not turned the pumpclip yet. I had asked for a half pint, but when the barmaid brought me my second choice, it was a full pint (I did not protest though, as the beer was very cheap). Concerning food, they have the full JDW menu. I had the fish & chips, fair enough.“

“Quite spacious pub with a long bar and some boxes besides the tables in the middle. It serves British type cask ales and also some craft beers from mostly from the USA in cans, bottles and on tap. The prices are quite reasonable compared to the English average. I didn’t eat anything in there, but they have a quite decent menu.“

“Nice historical place on the main street of Crawley. The real ales are mostly from Greene King and are in a good condition. The staff is helpful and the food is nice. I also like that they seem to keep beers from the traditional British types (apart from a couple of lagers). Highly recommended if you are in town.“

“A pleasant high street pub with a reasonable real ale selection, with the latest "craft" offerings from Greene King, and a reasonable bottle list.“

“A traditional pub, with traditional beers. The choice is rather limited with only four handpumps.“

“Attractive old pub just off the High Street. Lively on a Tuesday lunchtime when I was there. Atomsphere spoiled somewhat by naff piped music. About 7 cask ales on, including a couple on the stronger side (Dark Star Revelation and Downland’s 7% offering Cam-Raa). Greene King and Belhaven ’craft’ bottles also available. Nice pub, great well-kept beer.“

“Harvey’s pub in the town centre. Two rooms with vastly different atmospheres like a proper public and lounge. Harvey’s (rare-ish) IPA, Best and Old Ale on cask. Worth going to if in the area but tickers won’t get much joy!“

“A really nice feeling to the place. A very large garden, large, fairly stately looking house, nice and expensive looking. The food and drink is fairly expensive by Crawley standards. Unfortunately a dull selection of Badger regulars. Food menu looked interesting, but wasn’t hungry so didn’t have anything. Offers good, proper food.“

“Looks nice on the outside, but a dive on the inside. Hurried service from someone who didn’t really know much. Ales in decent condition though I suppose they rotate fairly fast here. People seeming to wanting to get plastered. Football on TV though not blaring fortunately. A rather poor selection of even their own stuff. Four taps.“

“A large yet fairly nice-looking JDW with a surprisingly intimate feeling for a chain pub. Rather hurried service even if it was quiet. The staff were busy chatting with each other. A surprisingly large amount of different cask ales available, some local stuff too. Cheap.“

“Visited a couple of times. Fairly nice looking place, but I’m not sure I like the insides that much in general. Cavernous space with numerous small levels with stairs all around. Feels like only the front is for people having a drink, the rest is with large tables, more suited for diners even though food isn’t really a centerpiece here, but perhaps that’s just me. Don’t give glass pints if you’re gonna drink outside. But nice and knowledgeable service otherwise. Decent food and a pretty nice selection. Had a beer & cider festival on a weekend and had more than twelve different ones on offer which is pretty significant for a town pub like this. Cheap prices and ale in good condition.“

“Located on the western side of the town centre, past the post-war planned shopping area with little aesthetic value. The front of this building is in its familiar italic font, and although it is not wide it is very deep. The style is also familiar and there are plenty of tables along the warm coloured carpet. There’s three rows of ale pumps along the long bar on the right-hand side, although some are repeat pumps.“

“Excellent historical building (originally 14th century gaol) in the centre of Crawley. Beer always in top condition. Staff well trained and friendly. Best pub in Crawley by some distance.“
