66 /100 THE GRIBBLE INN, OVING
“Visited on a Saturday lunchtime on the way to watch Bognor Regis Town. Nice pub but service was a little tardy, nowhere to sit and have a drink as all tables were reserved for food. Took beers outside as thankfully it was dry and mild. Worth a trip to tick Gribble beers.“

“Happily the Gribble is open again after an eight month closure following the fire. Actually the brewery stayed open as a taproom throughout, since it’s in a different building. Inside the thatched restaurant portion is a small foyer bar and two tooms of tables. They do sampler trays of three for 3.80 or six for 7.50. Slightly frustratingly they had seven beers on, but staff fixed that maths problem with a small sample. The beers were well done but not too exciting. The food, though was very tasty and creative, I would return here for a meal any day.“

74 /100 THE GRIBBLE INN, OVING
“A nice thatched country pub in a small village on the outskirts of Chichester. The beers from the attached brewery are solid, if unspectacular. About half a dozen on offer when we visited a few years back. Doing a roaing trade on a Sunday lunchtime, with a lot of diners. Unfortunately they had a serious fire recently and the place is closed until further notice. The brewery is in a separate building and was not damaged by the fire so I don’t know what they are doing with that in the meantime.“

“Country pub with microbrewery attached to the back. They had seven different ales from their own brewhouse on tap. The food was nice also.“
