“Located just before Wainstalls on the top of the hill after the urban area of Halifax has been left behind. This is a Timothy Taylor pub that serves a good range of its own ales in a traditional setting. Apart from the reception area couches all the tables in the several open plan rooms on the ground floor are set up for dining and both lunch and evening meals are served here. There’s not a huge outdoor area which is sandwiched between the front door and the car park, although it’s a pretty building enhanced with well-kept hanging baskets.“
