48 /100 BRETFORTEN ROAD,
“This is a large, relatively modern, much extended pub on the east side of the village of Badsey. The name is to honour the local produce as this is the premier area for the farming of Asparagus, which is sold in rounds. It is very popular for good value meals, particularly a Sunday Carvery, so booking is advised. There were just 2 beers available on our visit, one national brand and one relatively local, but 2 unusual ciders, it appears to be more of a cider pub than ale. Large and straggling with lots of seating and fast turn over. Reasonable place.“
