| 82 /100 Plough (Bathams) (Bar) MAIN STREET, “The pub where beer first discovered me, back in 1973. It is impossible for me rate the place with any degree of independence. A basic British village pub with excellent Batham’s beer from 15 miles away. late middle-aged and with no pretensions to be otherwise. Batham’s Mild is created by a benign Almighty to do us good. The bitter is iconic, though I have no idea how. The now year-round XXX is just showing off. Authentic pork scratchings plus good rolls and pork pies too. Priceless local accents.“ |
