62 /100 SALINENSTRASSE 24 A trip to the 80s. Old hotel-restaurant in the center of the sanatorium/spa area of the town. We were the first customers of the day and the clientele arriving after us was mirroring the age structure of the staff. 70+. They had 5 beers on tap (Export, Kurpils, Schwärzberg, Raban and Kurweizen) and two Hopfenstopfer beers on bottles (Citra and Incredible). It's a bit weird that the supermarkets in the region have better selection of their Hopfenstopfer beers than they do. Maybe the sanatorium visitors aren't that adventurous and don't drink IPAs. The food was really old school. I wasn't expecting anything else. Friendly service though. |
58 /100 inDrink Getränkemarkt (Beer Store) TALWEG 4 Getränkemarkt mit schöner Bierauswahl und sehr nettem Personal. Lokale Spezialitäten und süddeutsche Craftbiere. |
34 /100 SALINENSTRASSE 24 Biederes Ambiente. Kein einziges Hopfenstopfer Bier verfügbar! Essen sehr altbacken wie vor 25 Jahren. |
76 /100 SALINENSTRASSE 24 Visited many times between 2010 and 2013 An old hotel, with a tired and old style; actually there is a very bad smell, that starts with wax and honey soap bar, and goes beyond. The lady behind the taps is flexible enough to provide half glasses of the 6 beers they have available, none of which is memorable; but sometimes in Winter 2010 they started brewing also 4 Single Hop Ales, and they have been really interesting! Almost all beers areavailable in bottles to go. And since then they produced more and more Ales, usually very fresh and among my favorite in Germany. The staff speaks good English. Really crazy to find in such a lost place a braumeister that is interested in hybrid beer styles... |
