“Small place, remote but in the village center, and you pass through a tower gate to enter the village. Inside looks the same as many other places, but with a small cadre of locals at the bar drinking beer or coffee. Small patio, maybe four tables. Friendly locals. We just missed the trout weekends, which happen monthly through the spring and summer. Three beers on offer, one of which was a Celtic Red. I am not kidding. I guess it make sense, since the Celts were descended from Germanic tribes, if I remember my history correctly.“
