“Visited late AUG2018. Leafy Biergarten, Restaurant (+Gästezimmer/Rooms) located next door to the Bauhöfer Familienbrauerei in the pretty-lieblich surroundings of this Ortenauer wine&orchardland. Buzzing on a SAT with groups of cyclists adding much-needed cheer to the sedated Badian atmosphere, Round Table gatherings, families & pensioners in old timers. - Slightly upscale Badian/Alsatian menu with tasty renditions of classics such as Ochsenmaulsalat & Brägele, Tafelspitzsülze, Flammkuchen. A near-complete range of Bauhöfer's decent-if-lieblich beers on tap ("nur 50cl im Biergarten"), including the best choice unfiltriertes Pilsner, superfluous Tradition Dunkel, and excluding their latest Schwarzwaldmarie IPL that put them back on the map and alas only sells in bottles to drink in or take away for €9,50/6pack instead of the €7 in most supermarkets in the area.“
