70 /100 CARL-THEODOR-STRAßE 2 Am Schlossplatz in Schwetzingen. Ausschank der „Kurpfalzbräu“ aka Welde. 5 Taps, und eine Flaschen. Essen ok. |
60 /100 SCHLOSSPLATZ 1 Big traditional restuarant with some nice outdoor seating at the city square just across from the castle. Visited on a very hot day for lunch, some American week going on so had the pulles pork burger, pretty tasty. 4 beers on tap, tryied 2 of the them as i was driving, fair quality. Service a little slow and very little english was spoken. Okies prices. |
50 /100 SCHLOSSPLATZ 1 We were visiting the Castle in Schwetzingen and saw this Brauhaus next to it. It looked busy on a Wednesday at 3pm. We didn't have time to eat so I decided to ask for some beers to go. They had three different beers in 1 liter bottles. Slow and inattentive service, no English. They didn't give me a reason to come back. |
62 /100 SCHLOSSPLATZ 1 Rathertypical brewery restaurant for this area. Pretty old building, nice biergarten out on the square, service ok but uninspired and doesn’t know or care much about beer. Food is good and quite filling. Beers here were pretty mediocire, so the score is a bit below average for me. Location is awesome, though, right outside the castle, and I did like the pils quite a bit. |
72 /100 SCHLOSSPLATZ 1 Hausbrauerei mit 4 Standardbieren von unterschiedlicher Qualität. Solide Brauhausküche. Frischer Spargel in der Saison! |
72 /100 SCHLOSSPLATZ 1 Nice place , very crowed, just opposite of the castle. Great service, quite good food. |
70 /100 SCHLOSSPLATZ 1 Nice setting with a huge terrace overlooking the town square, just in front of the castle. Many rooms inside too, all of which looked regal. Server was excellent; efficient, friendly and going out of his way to make our toddler feel happy. Sadly, the beer was lackluster (par for the course in the Heidelberg area though) as was the food. It still makes for a charming stopover if you want to visit Schwetzingen castle, but don’t expect well-polished lagers here. |
60 /100 SCHLOSSPLATZ 1 I come here too on my lunch hour, so I have to be careful on my quantities, but this is a VERY nice place to sit and have lunch away from my fellow Americans in Heidelberg. The beers are quite good, and I’m particularly fond of their kellerbier. |
56 /100 SCHLOSSPLATZ 1 Brewery in the middle of Schwetzingen. Fortunately I have to come here often on business. Only 3 beers to choose, but decent. The food is very good, especially the traditional Flammkuchen. In summer there is often a party outside on Thursday nights. |
58 /100 SCHLOSSPLATZ 1 Outside Heidelberg, where I went to high school, this is an expansive restaurant and brewery near the historic sites of Schwetzingen. There’s no such thing as a bad brauhaus in Germany ... definitely worth the visit. |
56 /100 SCHLOSSPLATZ 1 Brewpub acros from big Castel wich is worth visiting. There was only 3 beers on tap when I was there, and they are not that good, but the food was great. |
