“We visited here Saturday 18th March 2023 and stayed locally at the S-Bahn car park in Frank (camper). Like Mäierbräu it is also centrally located and just 2-3 minutes away from the aforementioned brewery and restaurant. It's a nice old building, possibly with a more modern look inside, staff here wore smart but less traditional and more modern attire. It was dark when we arrived so I don't know if they have outside seating but I suspect that they do. Staff were swiftly over to us, friendly and welcoming. We ate here and the Käsespätzle and Flammakuchen were both excellent, the price was also very reasonable. Beers were great in particular the Hefe Weisse was excellent. I really liked this and Mäierbräu and will definitely return.“

“We visited here Saturday 18th March 2023 and stayed locally at the S-Bahn car park in Frank (camper). It is centrally located and just 2-3 minutes away from the other brewery and brewpub in town. It's a lovely old building with a few tables and chairs/benches outside, looks and is very traditional, both from an building appearance and the staff wearing traditional attire. There were some local musicians (folk) on the table next to us, which was nice. Beer was good, we never ate but the food looked good. It's a popular place and had a great atmosphere. I really liked both of the breweries in town, Altomunster is at the end of the S-Bahn and as such would be an easy visit from München with a regular service that operates into the early hours.“

“Came here on 29.5.2016. Typical German brewery restaurant. Maierbräu’s beers are available in several restaurants in Munich. We had a Zwickel (unfiltered) beer, which is only available in this restaurant, average taste. Overall we were disappointed as our expectations were much higher.“

“Really great place. We were staying at the hotel at went for ealy dinner. Great service and excellent food. Very cheap. When the owner noticed my interest in beer I was taken for a guide in the brewery museum which was really fun. He gave a free sample on the tour and offered me a Kristallweizen from his own cellar. 6 of there own beers and a additional dunkelweizen was availeble. Really worth a visit, and it also helps there is a deasent brewpub 200 meters down the hill.“
