“Gift shop at the brewery with a full selection of the Ayinger beers, including the Zwickl in growlers. This spaciously laid out place is the meeting point for brewery tours an a opportunity to buy beer and gift items of the brewery.“

“We visited here Saturday 12th October 2019 with Dad and Pauline on a gloriously sunny and also very warm autumnal day. We sat outside in the dappled shade of the Biergarten, in the self service area, which if you look at the front is on the right hand side. The actual self service where you go to get your beers is off to the right but set back a little. This place is quite central in the village and is diagonally opposite a restaurant and one of the tallest May Poles that I have ever seen. I understand that for those coming by public transport the S-Bahn has a stop in the village. I never ventured inside and we were quite swift with having out beers as there was the Kirta Festival (*hope I got that spelt right?). The beers were all very good and the place is very nice, however with the festival taking place just along the road behind the brewery it was as you might expect, rather busy with both food and drink, folk of all ages were here today and many dressed up in traditional attire. I liked it here and we vowed to return in the camper one evening when it was perhaps a little quieter.“

“Sklep, restauracja, wycieczka po browarze. Czego jeszcze chciec? Tym bardziej ze to najlepszy browar w Niemczech. Wybór piw ogranicza sie do wyrobów browaru. Duzo gadzetów piwnych, w dodatku ceny w sklepie sa bardzo zachecajace. Polecam“

“Great beer garden. No surprises as to the available beers, but the basic lineup was all there. Good food, great atmosphere.“

“How to rate? Big selection of cheap bottles of Ayinger beers, though nothing even slightly out of season. Zwickl available only in 2 liter growlers. If I lived nearby, I would definitely come often for the 7 eur growler fill, but it was 20 with the purchase of the glass. Great beer, though.“

“I didn’t visit the brewery, only the shop, which is worth a visit on its own! The prices are really low, 0,80 Euros (including deposit) for world-class beers like Celebrator or Weizenbock is remarkable! Beside memorablias and various beer glasses, they had all Ayinger beers from the core range, but also most of all seasonals, like the Winterbock, Weizenbock and even some bottles of the autumn seasonal Kirtabier. The main reason I came here was another beer though: the Zwickl, which is an unfiltered version of the Jahrhundertbier and only available in Aying in 2 litre growlers. And what should I say, this beer alone was worth the whole trip, one of the best Lagers I’ve ever had!

Overall just how a brewery shop should be, definitely worth a visit.“

“Beautiful, traditional Bavarian brewpub/restaurant about 15 minutes walk away from the brewery. Very friendly staff, fast service, clean traditional interior and overall really affordable. Most of all very good food and beer. They have the traditional food typical in this region, but with a really high quality you don’t find that often! All beers from Aying offered here, although not all from tap. The beer I had was in very good, fresh shape. They also seem to have special beers from tap from time to time, like the incredible Zwickl, which is only available in Aying.

Overall highly recommended if you are in Aying!“

“Neat modern shop in the brewery, where they offer tours (which I didn’t do yet). They have all beers which are in season for very nice prices, and you can get growler fills of the gorgeous Zwickel, which is the main reason why I come here.“

“A bit outside of Munich, but easy to reach by public transport and a little walk through the village of Aying. Offers the core range of Ayinger’s beers. Food is nice, atmosphere is cozy, service was super quick and friendly. Prices are a notably lower than in Munich. Would visit again.“

“This is the (new) brewery building. 3 features are found here: 1) The brewery tour (brauereiführungen). Recommended and very interesting. On one side, their cutting-edge technology is just incredible. On the other side i felt like the "handcraft" thing has been taken over by computers and automation. Sad. But the final result anyway is awesome. German tour is available 3 days per week for around 9€ per visitor. English or Italian tours may be available occasionally, otherwise by prior booking. 2) The beer hall (Schlander). This is the last stop of the tour. They’ve built up a nice bar in the boilers room which i believe is open only on special events. 3) The brewery outlet (getrankemarkt). Here you have all their regular beers including the masterpiece Celebrator, the latter at the scandalous price of 76 cents per bottle! Very convenient! Can find also souvenirs, 6-packs, 8-packs, glassware and gadgets. SpecialS/seasonal beers were not available when i went there the first two times, last was on early september and i found the Kirtabier.“

“This is the HOTEL, in front of the BRAUSTUBERL, next to the old and dismissed brewery. This is a 4-star hotel, very classy but with a Bavarian down-to-earth attitude which i really like. The staff is nice and service is top notch. Maybe relatively expensive, quite ok if booked in advance. They host a restaurant which seems to be very high class, but didn’t try. They often hosts private events such as marriages. Beer here? Yes but it’s not worth. They do sell sixpacks (giftboxes) and glassware. Maybe as Travlr said in the restaurant they have some taps. A cool thing for guests is that they can access the HerrenHaus (lounge/library) and tap the beer themselves (Helles only) , and note the consumption on a form to leave on the desk. Here there is the only fridge i have seen around (single rooms oddly does not have any, dunno about biggers) of course with beers. But the downside is that those are "very expensive" (3.30 EUR for 0.5L), so to enjoy beer 2 steps ahead get to the braustuberl, to buy beer 5 min walk get to the brewery outlet (4 times cheaper!). The hotel overall is just fantastic, highly recommended.“

“Very nice bierstube in front of the brauereigasthof (hotel) and the old brewey building, 10 min walk from S-bahn station line S7 (while the actual factory is more or less in the middle). Stube inside, biergarten outside under the big chestnut trees. I’ve been there several times but only in weekdays, in august, and it’s relatively is quiet (gets busy in late afternoon, at 9 PM most people leaves), customers are mostly locals. Good fresh beers, it’s a pity not all of them are on tap, and you have to be lucky to catch some seasonals. Everyday at 5PM they serve the Helles from holzfass (real wooden barrel), worth a try. Food is top notch and huge, service is real quick, they’re friendly with foreigners, if you don’t speak German nothing to worry about. Prices at the moment are, in EUR, 2.90 for the 0.5L hell and 0.3L Pils, 3.20 all the rest. Hot meals are available from 10AM to 10PM for really reasonable prices. You can buy sixpacks also, glasses and stuff are available in the hotel reception or factory outlet. Wifi only for hotel guests, as far as i know, can go online purchasing a voucher on their hotspot. Oddly they do not accept credit card. BTW: I stayed at the hotel wich I really recommend, great place and the sorroundigs are lovely for bike or hiking. (Originally posted August 30, 2015)“

“Twas a bit of a drive to get herre but we’ll worth it. Seems like Ayinger is the town center. And what a beautiful town it is. The beers are all fantastic, and the sulze I had the spargel my girlfriend had were great. I got invited to a stomptisch inside and met a few really nice local beer drinkers. I also got talked into trying snuff for the first time...that I would not recommend. Next time I’m back I have try the other establishments that Ayinger has here.“

“Disclaimer: Sadly I didn’t had enough time to attend the tour. The beers in the brewery shop are really, really cheap. They have some beer boxes with glasses, some merchandise and everything you expect from a brewery sale.“

“After the staff witnessed our existence we had great service and a good time. Traditional bavarian kitchen, friendly atmosphere, low prices (compared with Munich itself). A fun little fact: They have special glasses for their Urweisse :) Really nothing to complain about. Will come again.“

“The visit was interesting in this wonderful place of Aying. The organization was ok, nice guide. It was only in German but it was find and the apero at the final was really friendly and this brewery makes good quality. It is a shame that we don’t find this beer in Switzerland.“

“I went with my wife and I can say that we had a great time there. We came from Munich with the S7. The village and the place are nice and the beergarten is just unbelivable, unfortunately we had to be inside due to the weather. The service was nice with attention, typical German food and of course the Ayinger bers that they are one of my favourite brewery. I recommend this place, particulary during the summer. I went a second time with friends during my last trip in Munich, as usual, the service was good cheap and friendly, a local place that I strongly recommend, if you would like to see one Bavarian atmosphere.“

“Right across the street from the hotel, and just a short drive or maybe ten minute walk from the (newer) brewery. Set up like a traditional gasthaus, but with brewery memorabilia everywhere and lots of antlers. Four beers on draft, four more in bottles plus a couple from other breweries (low alcohol stuff, etc). Food menu is a bit more expansive than the usual place, and we visited on a Sunday when they had multiple menu specials - we chose the duck, which was very tasty, and we were glad we ordered just the 1/4 portion, which filled us up for the rest of the day. Waitress was kind and very patient with my limited German, and apologetic that she spoke no English. Worth the short detour from Munich.“

“This is a large commercial brewery, but not as large as I thought it would be. It is probably the first thing you’ll see on your right as you enter the small village of Aying. Plenty of parking. As you pull in, the brewery is on your left and the shop is on your right. Ridiculously low prices, as is the norm for commercial German beer.“

“This is a traditional Bavarian hotel just across the street from the original Ayinger brewery, which celebrates its 138th anniversary in two days. Straight ahead is the restaurant with a small bar on the right, and there are private event spaces as well. Four beers on tap and seven different bottles when we visited. You can buy mixed four or six packs with or without a glass, as well as other brewery souvenirs, in the lobby. Nice place.“

“So this is where the notorious Celebrator comes from. A packed Bräustüberl in a small village just a little bit south of Munich. Did not have a reservation, but the staff was helpful and it only took a few minutes until we could sit down. The beer is, well, probably the reason why you came here. You can get the Ayinger core range here. Food is tasty, everything okay. If you like Ayinger, you should visit if you can. Been there again, it was always a lovely experience. Great and well-priced food, good beery and absolutely lovely staff. They also let us take some sixpacks with us for a reduced price, so if you can’t make it to Aying in time to hit the brewery shop, this is an alternative if you ask nicely!“

“Located in a very small town, parking nonetheless proved a bit challenging for this tourist. Upscale, as Bavarian brewpubs go, this brewpub has the reputation for attracting a relatively well-to-do clientele, as was apparent on my visit. A fine selection of brews is available along with Bavarian pub and more upscale food offerings. Certainly worth visiting if in the area.“

“A traditional Bavarian Bräustüberl with a huge patio. Most of the tables were empty but they didn’t want to serve food to them. Only to the tables that were already full. So we had to squeeze to a full table to be able to eat. Strange. Otherwise the service was nice and the beer absolutely great. 5 taps and 4 bottles available. Also the food was tasty. Worth the detour.“

“I stayed overnight in the Brauereigasthof, and I must say I was very pleased with the accomodation, it was well worth its price. The pub, equipped with a nice patio, is located just outside the main building. Most of their products are available fresh from tap. This place is definitely for people how appreciate good beer in a tranquil countryside atmosphere. The restaurant located in the main building is also of very high class.“

“What a lovely place. They got their 8-10 regular beers avaliable all year round on draft/bottle. The seasonals ARE not avaliable. Good food and service. Cozy and quiet atmosphere and yeah of course - Ayinger Celebrator Doppelbock on draft - BOOM. My family and I had a great time. Asked for both Winterbok, Kirta-Halbe, etc. but not avaliable neither in the brewery or hotel. Close to Munich. An easy and short travel from the highway. Dope..“

“One of the best breweries of the world. And its tap is no different. The Brauereigasthof stands right in the middle of the Upper Bavarian village of Aying. Along with the brewery it is, so to speak, the center of the Aying world. And that for over 620 years! Also run on the same property is the ages old “Troadkasten” (storehouse), the antique “Kegelbahn” (skittle alley) and across from it the museum of local history, the now, very old “Sixthof”. This is a true-to-history arrangement that uniquely reflects the Bavarian way of life and its values, such as home, hospitality and tradition. Food is typical Bavarian fare.“
