“We visited here Saturday 3rd August 2019. We were staying in a campsite about 2 miles away just the other side of the Danube and came here after a cycle ride into Regensburg along the river, we popped in on the way back. Brauerei Berghammer is easy enough to find it's close to a large village called Bad Abbach, it's just to the north west in fact, and also where the Danube has a couple of large bends. If you are cycling it is signposted from the cycle path.

We sat directly outside the place however there was a small Biergarten across the road under the shade of a large horse chestnut tree. The brewpub brews four beers, wheat, a helles, dunkel and a bock (seasonal). We had a wheat and a dunkel. Both beers were pretty good, the Hefe Weisse was the best though. Service was a bit patchy, there were two people serving (*I am presuming a husband and wife, likely the owners) however the husband seemed a little kurt and a bit frustrated when he spoke quickly and we couldn't catch what he said, the wife on the other hand was very pleasant and even though she appeared to not speak English we got by fine with our limited German. I went inside but only briefly to pick up some beer to takeaway, it looked nice inside, simple, rustic and typically Bavarian.“

“Typical bavarian rural brewpub on the banks of the Danube river old fashioned tap-room, recently refurbished, but still very authentic a small beer garden close to the Donauradweg is waiting for thirsty guests. Good place for cyclists and other tourists, but not touristy at all.....“
