82 /100 REGENSBURGER STRASSE 16 We visited here Saturday 31st July 2021, this was stop number two of a 35km loop cycle ride that had already taken in Michael Plank Brewery (stop number 1) 6-7km up the river at Laaber. After here we would go to Eichhofen at Eichfhofen and then Prosselbrau at Adlersberg. The town of Deuerling is only about 19-20km from Regensburg and I can see that there is a railway station, however when I check google maps it seems to suggest a bus from the P&R, I guess it still means that you can get here via public transport, however I would strongly suggest cycling, it is a lovely are with lots of well-marked cycle routes.
The brewery and Gasthof, is quite simple in appearance, there are just a few bench tables outside, but in poorer weather there is plenty of options inside. There was another group of cyclists who we'd seen at Michael Plank also on this route, a group of 5 Americans and one German guy, plus two locals one who could have been the brewer. The lady who served us brought out a wooden cask (pin) which had a small amount of Helles left in and topped their beers up directly from the tap. I had the Marzen which was very good and Loz had a Hefe Weisse, I also got a bottle of Pils and Helles to take away and all told it cost €8.50, great value! I really liked the simplicity of this place, it was friendly, beer great, a nice area and combined with the other places a great stop. I think that they may also do rooms here, it appeared that there was a function the evening before as many folk in traditional attire were leaving as we sat and supped. The food prices looked really cheap and the limited menu seemed great. |
56 /100 REGENSBURGER STRASSE 16 The small town of Deurling have a excellent brewery and restaurant. Very good beer and at affordable prices. Well worth a stop. |
52 /100 REGENSBURGER STRASSE 16 Traditional tavern by the brewery. Just 2 drafts, quite good. |
68 /100 REGENSBURGER STRASSE 16 Visited July 2013. The village is nestled down in a river valley. I sat inside in the pleasant tap room. It was dead as a doornail at 2pm on a Monday, with only one local sitting outside. Hope they do better at other times. The draught Hell was very nice and the bottled Marzen really, really good. |
58 /100 REGENSBURGER STRASSE 16 Simple rural Gasthof in a tiny village not far from Regensburg, with a smaller brewery in the courtyard. The good beers (especially the Märzen) are worth a visit. all beers are sold in the pub... |
