76 /100 MARIA-HILFER-STRASSE 17 An traditional brewpub called the Mariahilfer Sudhaus. Food however is canteen style : go and order it at food bar and pay for it there, yet drinks are table service! Kossel brewery do a good selection of beer styles and all good examples of their style. Worth the huge detour as in the tiny village of Speiden next to Eisenberg in the middle of nowhere! Beware of their hours though, these I updated in Feb.2017 when I arrived to find it closed for another 3 hours! |
88 /100 MARIA-HILFER-STRASSE 17 Been here several times, had the beers more than several times. My "holiday-brewery", as a frequent visiter to the Allgäu I always stock up on beers here. Great brewpub, solid bavarian food, great brewery tour, shop around the corner with most beers available. Always great to be back in this tiny village. |
76 /100 MARIA-HILFER-STRASSE 17 Nice brewpub with possibility to tour the brewery - which is quite historic (closed in the 60’s, re-opened in the 90’s) and situated in a very scenic village & environment. 3 or 4 house beers on tap, but the shop around the corner has most of their beers available bottled, including seasonals, subject to availability. Quality of the beers is pretty high but are best enjoyed brewery fresh. |
