“Very nice restaurant on the city center, with nice ambience and possibility to be outside. The food was great, and the service as well. 2 brands of Riedenburg beers are available (besides other Bavaria ones).“

“We visited here Saturday 1st August 2020 we had cycled from Landgasthof Kastlhof Campingplatz and cycled well beyond Riedenburg and then come back into town. We went to Schwan first which is the other side of the Donau Kanal and in town. However this place was easy to find and for those cycling along the main Donau Kanal cycle path it's signposted and is just off of it. It is a small/medium sized Biergarten, perhaps a little too dark and gloomy. We ordered a Hefe Weisse and a Dunkel Weizen, and for the first time in god knows how long had to repeat the order 3-4 times as the young barman either couldn't understand what we were saying or was simply being a bit of an arse. The service was however quite quick once we'd ordered, and we took our drinks and found a seat, it was surprisingly quiet, both of the other places we went to today Schwan and Joseph Schneider where we visited later were really busy. I have to say that although the beer was fine we didn't really go a bundle on this place and would happily give it a swerve if in the area in the future.“

This place is really easy to find as it's in the Markt pl, there were plenty of outside tables to choose from. Social distancing, cleaning down surfaces and wearing of masks was very well adhered to in these COVID-19 times. Staff were friendly and service despite the busy nature of the place, particularly for folk wishing to eat was quite quick. I had a Zwickel, Loz a Radler, both were good. I did nip inside to use their facilities and it was a nice place, the inside looked like it'd had a modern makeover, but looked good, two young women, the only people not sat outside were sat at the bar drinking cocktails by the looks of things.“

“Visited 3.10.17 - weather was lovely, cold but sunny. It was German Unity Day and there was a market of handcrafted items and locally made food, live oompah band and lots and lots of people - definitely a score. As we had a long day ahead of us, we only drank 3 beers and none of their craft offerings, of which they had a nice selection - about 5 bottles, I think. There was also a demo but it was crowded and held in German so we skipped. We're indoor people, but in this case really enjoyed sitting in the vast biergarten. The area is beautiful and really close to Regensburg. Worth a visit.“

“Stately Brauereigasthof ( and home of the Riemhofer Brauerei until 1959) in the centre of the picturesque town of Riedenburg in the heart of the lovely Altmühltal; they offer almost the whole range of the related Riemhofer brewery, the new Zwickel is presumabely only here available.... A nice stop on the "Altmühl beer-trail": Kelheim-Essing-Riedenburg (2 brewers!)-Beilgries-Eichstätt !“

“Das Riedenburger Brauhaus braut nur mit Rohstoffen aus ökologischen Landbau. Sie verwenden eigene Reinzuchthefe - garantiert ohne Gentechnik. Die Biere sind dadurch alle naturtrüb und ungefiltert.“
