“We came here Sunday 21st July 2019. We'd picked up our new bikes just the day before and so today cycled from home to here, it was almost a 43 mile round trip with this stop-off being the half way point. Getting here is probably not that easy unless you have a car or are prepared to walk/cycle, however you can get to Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm by train and from there it's about 7km.

We sat outside in the Biergarten and noted that it was a popular place as there were plenty of folk eating and drinking but particularly the former. There were a couple of showers whilst we sat here one was very heavy and really tested the large canvas parasols. We had a couple of beers each here and I was impressed with all that I tried. The Biergarten is shingle with plenty of shade, partly provided by trees but mostly by parasols. I didn't really take a good look inside, nipping in only to use the toilet, however it looked a very, very large place, solid and with plenty of wood. I liked it here and would happily return.“
