“Located just a few yards off the shores of the famous Schliersee,You’ll find Wasmeiers Bauernhofmuseum. The former german ace assembled in his open-air museum historical farm-houses and other old buildings of rural orign. The main attraction is surely the old Gasthaus “Beim Wofen” where You can sample the local beers - on the patio surrounded by friendly chicken, curious geese and “hungry” cats… The beers are brewed behind the pub in the one and only real, real craft-beer brewery from the 18th century: everything has to be done by hand and the brew-kettle is heated by open fire! At the entrance to the museum You’ll find a shop with fridges offering the Wasmeier Bier. Recommended, not only for beer-geeks!“

“Didnt visit the museum only the shop. Lots of books about ecological living etc... and the three *main* beers in the fridge. So a little limited in the selection but quality was good. Nice to have something so unique. Pay a visit of youre in the area.“

“Tradtional Bavarian Wirtshaus as a part of Markus Wasmeier‘s open air old Bavarian museum. Very beautiful place located close to the Schliersee in the Bavarian Alps. Seasonal beer selection brewed in brewery located 10 m next to the Wirtshaus. The Museumsbier is the classic brew offered by the pub but also other beers from Hacker-Pschorr are available. It is even possible to make a brew course in the brewery next to the pub. Just a beautiful and authentic place. Definitely worth a visit!“
