“The brewpub where Camba brews their seasonals and one-offs. The interior is cozy enough, lots of long benches and wooden beams, but the terrace outside overlooking the beautiful Alz is the place to sit, weather permitting. Eighteen beers on tap and some more bottles, almost all from Camba - the six we tried were very much on form and gave me a new appreciation for this brewery. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Glad I finally made it here. Much more relaxed than the Tap House in Munich.“

“We came here on 22.10.2016. This brewpub is located between Salzburg and Munich not far away from lake Chiemsee. They have a great concept: 2 brewpubs operating in small villages (other one is in Schwaben) and 1 beer bar (Tap House) in Munich, where they sell their own beers together with many great beers from all over the world. We liked the brewpub in Truchtlaching very much. On the ground floor they have a merchandising shop, on the first floor the brewhouse and the bar are located. Very nicely decorated, dark wooden joists, benches and tables and dried hops hanging from the ceiling. Several bus groups were visiting during our stay, seems commercially they are doing a good job too. Beers are very tasty. We tasted the Pale Ale, the Amber, the IPA and a very good chocolate Porter. They offer their full range of Camba beers: ~15 on tap and the rest in bottles, some of them are oaked barrel aged. A small range of guest beers is abailable too. All in all a very professional US style brewpub with really good beers.“

“Great place sitting on the Alz. I had the schweinsax (pork shank), it was excellent, with super crunchy skin and tender tasty meat inside. The bees were very good, I tried quite a mix of there aged stuff, craft stuff on tap, and traditional German stuff. Thank you to my German friends for taking me there“

“Cool stop on our eurotrip. Between Munich and Salzburg. We sat outside in the sun, lovely view on river!! I had the goulash, it was ok, but nothing spectacular. The big bread ball in the middle, it just wasn’t my cup of tea. The beers are well made and the selection they offer is good. Tasting flight possible with their BA beers as well. My credit card didn’t work in the restaurant (although it just did in the store before), and they just said: well, you have to go out and drive to go to an ATM. After a lot of discussing, I could all of a sudden pay downstairs in the beer store. Was really weird, not that great service. The shop downstairs is nice. Good selection. Boxes available with 12 of their beer (all different), at really good prices!!“

“Located at the shore of the Alz river, this brewpub combines a nice and cozy Bavarian Gasthaus feel with some world class modern craft beers. The brewing equipment is top notch, which is hardly surprising, given that this is a showcase brewery. The service was great, the prices good (in the brewery shop even terriffic, I would say), the pork knuckle near immaculate. And the beers - fresh, very varied (including draught BA’s) and almost all of them at least very good, with some excellent highlights. This might be the best brewpub I have been to so far.“

“This has everything! Awesome located by the water. Great food, awesome and huge line of well brewed fresh beers in almost all styles. Friendly and good atmosphere. Close to the Austrian border. If in Munich or Salzburg this is really a must visit! Will Return for sure!“

“Nice place to have a lot different beers! Price is reasonable and the amiance is outstanding. 100mi south of munich in one of the nicest areas of bavaria you can find that awesome beerplace. Cheers “

“Beautiful place in a really cool area. Close to the Chiemsee, Alps, München and Salzburg. Small biergarten in front of the river, perfect for the summer. Also some biergarten style tables inside. In the same place where they brew the beer. Service and food are excelent, they really know what they do. The selection is the best of a lot kilometers around: All the Camba beers(the germans styles, ipas, apas, stouts, barreld aged...), some belgian, english and american beers. If you are in München or Salzburg, it would be a really good day trip.“
