“Typical Franconian brewery. 4 brews, all very nice. Weizen is a highlight. Stopped here for a glass of beer many times & never was disappointed.“

“Kind of stale-feeling 70s place. Went in the afternoon and the big family eating there didn’t seem to want me around. Young lady serving was friendly enough, though she was mostly somewhere deep in the back and couldn’t hear me call. 3 very good beers, though, so it is certainly worth a short detour out of Bamberg by bike or bus. Good in conjunction with Greifenklau.“

“4 very nice brews on tap. Outside sitting area is quite small, so better to sit inside.“

“Large building in the center of Mühlendorf. Small group of locals on a weeknight sitting in the dimly lit main room. I asked for ein kleines of the Vollbier Hell, and got a snicker and look from the old barkeep. The beer was in terrible shape so combined with the poor service I don’t have a reason to return and recommend you skip it unless you’re going through town and are curious.“

“It took multiple drive-by’s on the way to other breweries to finally find Müller Debring open, and what a surprise they were, pouring excellent naturtrüb kegs of Bockbier (3.9) and Micherla hell (4.0). Kitchen was open in the early afternoon, making it one of the few spots available in the area to drink beer and eat warm food between 2-5pm. Worthy of a return visit.“

“Visited latest may 2013 with my parents. Lovely, cosy brauhaus in the village, parking close by. Cosy atmosphere, friendly serviceminded and smiling staff. Beers are from tap and in good condition, they do regulars as well as season beers. Food is great, typical franconian type. I like to eat here, tables are big enough for the beers, the schnitzel and the salat... In the middle one of these traditionel green fireplaces, that really can heat up the place in the wintertime.. Outside, on the other side of the road, there is a little pond with lots of frogs, that are very noisy in the springtime... For sure worth a revisit :-)“

“Visited in july 2011. Not in any way a brewpub, but a very friendly brewer selling his beers from a garage at his home. Cheap, decent to good beers. Also had them from tap in nearby Landgasthof Windfelder. Lovely Biergarten next to the lake, good and fairly cheap hotel. The also recommended Müller brewery in Debring is at walking distance.“

“Large and dim, but IMHO n o t very traditional franconian Gasthaus - it looks like erected in the 70’s; beers are well quaffable, but only mediocre by franconian standards. Worth a visit, though....“

“Visited March 2012. It’s down the hill from the 912 bus stop. I was the only one in the place. Pleasant enough if not very beery decor. Tried three draught beers. The Pilsner was very good, the Dunkles Vollbier was really boring and flabby, and the Micherla was okay.“

“Visited March 2012. A pleasant room with stained glass windows and a big traditional tiled oven (kachelofen) in the middle of the room. I sat next to the roaring fire. There were three beers on draught and I tried them all. The Pils was good, the Dunkel Lager was very good, and the seasonal Marzen even better than that. I ate a meal of bratwurst and sauerkraut that was tasty and good value. The 912 bus from Bamberg stops outside the pub. Revisited in July 2013. I had the Lagerbier which was one of highlights of my 4 week Germany stay. There is a keller which opened at 4pm. Unfortunately I couldn’t stick around for its opening.“

“Brewpub in a village southwest of Bamberg, bus 912 from Bamberg ZOB has a stop 50 metres up the street. The brewery can be seen from th street. it is in the smaller building in the back of the photo. Behind the building is a smaal garden with seating. Beers and food are good. Their newest beer, Michala (not Micherla) is a helles Zwickl/Ungespundetes, very good.“

“Brauereigaststätte with hotel rooms in the Stegaurach area, bus connection with Bamberg (line 912 stops just around the corner). Traditional interior, good food, standard beers for this region, good quality as well. Nearby (100 m) is their Keller, which normally serves only one beer.“

“Most of the rooms inside the gasthaus were being renovated when I visited. The only room not being jackhammered was a tiny backroom decorated with old flowery cushions and drapes. Not too attractive, but still homely and expected for the area. Locals were quite chatty, which was surprising considering I visited on a weekday afternoon. Debring really is a sleepy village even though it neighbors Bamberg! Their Pils was stellar, as was their Micherla, an unfiltered blond lager. I would love to revisit once the place is renovated. Their beers were worth it. It is an easy 5-6 km bike ride (or long walk) from Bamberg.“

“Charming little brewpub just 3 Miles from Bamberg on à busy road. Slowish service but excellent Beers served in stone mugs. Cheap and friendly. Bottles sold to take away. If you are in Bamberg, take the bus or à bicycle and visit this place.“

“Little place, pretty friendly. The beers are good but not superlative...but still good around here is pretty good. The food wasn’t bad, either. You can get here by bus from Bamberg, or a fairly short pedal.“

“Cute little friendly place. We got there before the cook did, and the server was so nice, he actually phoned the cook to find out when the kitchen would open. When we arrived we were the only people in the small beer garden out back, and by the time we ordered food three other tables were taken. Their menu had many fish dishes on it.“

“Nice stube with a watermill/fish theme. Excellent service and a friendly place. When we were there, it really wasn’t open but the lady dropped what she was doing to serve us. They have a keller somewhere else, it was closed at the time.“

“This place reminds me of my grandmothers brothers home in the late 70’s with flowery table cloths - and a very homely feel. A very quiet place - it seem that the patrons whisper to each other combined with a light clatter from the older patrons plates - the loudest sounds are the deep frying pot in the kitchen. Seems like a very local place - where you come for lunch. The service is very friendly. 4 beers on draft, 1 in bottle.“

“A beutiful old bierstube with wooden both, and teinted glass toward the road. Situated in the old mill - hence the name. Opened a bit before 11, since we arrived early and was hovering around outside - very friendly service. 4 beers on draft.“

“Village pub, located on a quite busy street next door to the tiny brewery; the smaller Gaststube, quite modern, looks a little bit like the brewer’s living room....... The grumpy staff is not the main attraction, but the beers are worth a little detour (not far away from Bamberg’s Altenburg).“
