“One of the newest Zoiglstubes, maybe the newest, located in the Fichtenschacht part of Wiesau. Seems a bit on the modern, "not worn" side, in whites, but it's trying its best to build its character I reckon. Packed with locals (I mean, these places are good AND the only open places in the entire urbanized village of 4200 people). Got the strangest looks entering on the trip I reckon, not the immediately welcoming atmosphere or some, but some of the locals seemed to have fun. Good service, busy as it goes. They have Wolframstubn's Zoigl for 2.70 and it was in great shape, raised the Overall for 0.1 just for that, better seeming than at the brewpub honestly. All in all, I should probably check it for food next time, the locals seemed to be mostly into that, might get a better score - I was in a hurry so might not have "gotten it". If in town and have the town, go. Bit of a pain to get to on foot: 25-ish minutes walk from Stefflwirt - but very easy, just go down Hauptstrasse until it ends, go past the railway tracks and continue on Schönhaider Strasse until you hit it. 19-ish minutes apparently from the train station - go left from the station, when the roads starts to climb to get over the tracks, take the passage by it, and then go under the tracks, then follow Schönhaider until you hit it.“

“Lovely place, with two big, cosy rooms, pleasantly traditionally decorated, with the owner? opening up a room that's probably usually for lunch only (to the right), and heating it up since we arrived some 40-50 minutes before lunchtime without reservations. Friendly guy, bit surprised we came there all the way from where we came, and so was the service in general. The Stefflwirt Zoigl is from Friedenfelser, but marketed separately from Steinwald nowadays apparently and could be different (would need to triple-check). The aroma was a bit iffy (likely one of the first pours of the day), but the creamy, clean, subtly floral taste was exactly what I needed that morning. 2.60€ I think. There's a tap for Weizen too. The food seemed a bit cheaper than at some places we visited before, but not by much. Went for Schweinelendchen in Pilzrahmsoße (Pork tenderloin in mushroom sauce) with Spätzle and a salad. The place being connected to a butchery, the tenderloin was unsurprisingly very, very tasty, the Spätzle as they should be, the salad really well spiced, but the mushroom sauce, with these cute little mushrooms, sadly too watery. Still, I'd recommend food here. All in all, glad to have visited it! To get here basically follow the Bahnhofstrasse up until the Kirchplatz (with the big church) is to your right - you'll see the "Brauerei & Metzgerei" sign on the buildings and a Zoigl sign.“

“Visited mai 2014 with my parents on this years Zoigl tour, first stop. Placed just across the village church, easy to find and with lots of parking close by. Coming on a sunday, just after church time, this place would be as expected :-) BUSY... We managed to find a table, since we where not eating.. Very friendly staff, beers served in great condition, and a very busy place. Cosy with several rooms and a small beergarden in the back :-) great place, and as most zoigl places, very local and family friendly..“

“a large zoigl house about 10 minutes from Falkenberg and 15 from Windischeschenbach. food is typical Bavarian fare. the zoigl on tap is from Schlossbrauerei Friedenfels and is a bit rough, musty, gamey and sulfuric. not one of the better zoigls had on this trip, but the local color was fun, they chastised us for also ordering a bottle of weizen since it was not summer at the time. no bother that every place else we went in Germany we saw Germans drinking weizen in the winter. check the Zoiglkalendar for open weekends: http://www.zoiglinfo.de/pdf/Zoiglkalender_Internet.pdf“
