54 /100 BRAUHAUSPLATZ 1 Located in the middle of the quiet, serene town of Neuzelle, amd just opposite the monastery church, this beer store - not a brewpub, indeed - looks like a souvenir shop for visitors to the monastery, which it probably is. Clean and, well, neat, if not cozy. The selection of beers sold is confined, understandably enough, to the local brews, of which I found twelve different ones on my visit. The staff mind their own business, but I did not need any help, so I didn’t ask for any, either. I don’t think I will be back soon, having bought all I need pr care about, but if one is in the vicinity, I would recommend a visit on a sunny day. If anything else, then just tomstay away from the unutterably ugly and boring town of Eisenhüttenstadt - the pride of GDR civil enineering know how, a monster of a planned town. |
78 /100 BRAUHAUSPLATZ 1 To call this a brewpub is sort of an exaggeration. Basically this is the brewery that has an excellent bottle shop and I’ve rated it as such. When you get the tour you can visit a special tasting area that doubles like a pub. Perhaps locals can go there but its ver small. The bottle shop on the other hand is huge with a complete selection of the beers from the brewery. Nothing else though. |
