“As you walk up the street you come to some large gates, go through these to the rear courtyard and there you will find bier heaven. A small lounge bar with three round tables outside for drinking when the weather is nice. Inside the bar is one room with eclectic seating and unusual art work on the walls. A real gem of a place. Ralph is a one man band with a little help from his mother . The brewery is located just before the bar and is small and compact. This is a real labour of love. Ralph is really passionate about beer, and we had a good chat throughout the night, whilst sampling his beers. Available at the time were a Pils and a Weissen both unfiltered and very quaffable. He was planning to do a stout when we talked to him. Which I believe has now been brewed and named “Celtic” stout Music on the evening of our visit was provided form the extensive collection of Doctor Music, thanks.“

“Visited as last stop on Saturday 12th December 2015. It’s situated just off Erbacher Strasse down a side road. The venue is a single roomed bar, smoking is permitted and the place was busy and smoky! 3 beers on tap plus the Eisbock which was available later on and on a stall in the market! Owner was really friendly and gave us the beer info plus some beer mats. Really great little place, brand new to Rb and recommended!“

“Visited during the afternoon of Saturday 12th December. Situated just off the main drag through town, this is a large, 2 level venue. As the Christmas market was on the place was heaving but we managed to get a table. It’s pretty clean and modern in the venue but with a definite lean towards the old traditional place with murals on the walls. 2 specials on tap plus normal range. Service was OK but a little slow as so busy. Be much nicer if a little quieter but did pick a busy weekend to visit. Would go back though.“

“Visited on Saturday 12th December in the afternoon. Dashed to the venue off the train as had to get there before the 14.30 cut off. The place was pretty busy and remained open. It’s less than 10 mins walk from the station, it’s a large venue, one big room, plenty of seats. Beers on tap and a bottle selection from Michelstadter brewery (It’s the tap house I believe). Service was decent, beer decent. Handy stop off on way into town.“

“Visited this pub 1/10-2012. This was our last stop of the day, a bit difficult to find, since you have to walk the last bit in some narrow old streets to get there. Finally we found this lovely corner / brewpub, placed in the old part of the town. Very friendly staff, also knowing of the beers. We had 6 different beers there, I think some of them would be regulars. The brewer likes to use hopes, and for german standard some of them where quit hoppy. They had a great menu as well, and the food looked very nice, but we had already eaten, so we only had the beers, and then off to bed.. For sure a place worth visiting..“
