“Visited on June 30th 2023. Nice, dock-side restaurant with plenty of outdoor seating. Friendly service and delicious traditional food. 8 beers on tap, a mix of modern and traditional stuff + some guest beers from other local breweries. Lovely place!“

“Brauerei Restaurant am Alten Hafen. Bis zu 20 taps, bei mir 8 eigene Biere und 10 Guest beers. Essen ok. In Oldenburg für Bierfreunde wohl konkurrenzlos. Am ne Charakter der Biere muss aber noch gearbeitet werden.“

“Visited with my good lady on Sunday 17th October 2021. What a lovely place, traditional old German, solid building, inside you'll find a modern design with plenty of drift wood around in the walls and ceiling. Central bar and plenty of space inside, loads more outside (waterside location). Beers in great condition and friendly staff. Twenty taps, eighteen on during our visit, eight of their own. Pretty impressive bottle list too. Really enjoyed our hour in here, really pleased we made the effort to travel out to find it while staying in Bremen.“

“Modern tap room, one decent sized room with a bar at one end. Seating is available at high and low tables. Service was friendly. Selection rather limited, just four taps. I tried the IPA which was OK but no better than that. Prices quite good. There is not much choice in Oldenburg, so this is perhaps the best that the city currently has to offer.“

“The pub is separate from the brewery itself and located in a rustic old farmhouse that looks out of place now in this somewhat industrial part of Oldenburg. Seating is maybe a dozen or so tables in a single open room. The day we visited the WM was showing on a large Leinwand. A few simple foods seem to be on offer but we did not pay much attention to the menu. 4 or 5 beers were on tap, all of them from the brewery. Apart from a handful of standards, which are bottled for wider distribution, a lot of brews may only be found here, either on tap or to go in 1 liter fillings. Atmosphere was pleasant, very quiet, service was attentive, but there was only 1 other table of customers apart from us on a Monday night.“

“Zweckmäßig, rustikal eingerichteter Raum, allerdings ohne Abtrennungen oder Einteilungen. Vier bis fünf verschiedene Biere sind ständig im Ausschank. Gemäß eines Brauhauses ist die Speisekarte nicht so umfangreich, dafür recht gut.“

“A very tiny 150,000 liters per year operation. Fifty five percent of the 50,00 liters at the brewpub go to draft All distribution in Oldenburg. Offsite another 100,000 liters brewed to bottles. Only 2 recipes to date a Pilsner and a Lager both quite good. Some small dishes available for food which we didn’t sample. Very friendly wait staff with excellent English. Met the brewer, Josef Herzog, who was quite generous with his time and explanations. If you are in Oldenburg be sure to visit this lovely little brewery.“
