“Better than any hip beershop around. Besides actual and rare craftbeer from all over the world you also get a lot of german beers from small breweries, especially (north-)bavarian. Furthermore there is a big range of belgian beer available and also wine and spirits. The owners know a lot about the distribution channels and brewery scene. You always leave informed - if you like. Not only for regular customers it is a great place to get some new stuff for very fair prices. My all time favorite!“

“A hidden gem – to say the least. Family run store with an A-list selection of modernist and more "crafty" stuff as well as a broad range of traditional belgian brews (yep, Westfleteren also). But my personal highlight definitely is their selection of Franconian Kellers, Lagers, Bocks and Dunkels. Definitely the best in Germany north of the Danube. Worth a visit, perfectly complemented by a stoppover at the "Haribo" outlet which recently opened just a few meters away.“

“xavier77 war wohl im Trinkgut gegenüber. Ich fahre jetzt seit gut 10 Jahren von Köln nach Bad Godesberg und bin noch nicht einmal enttäuscht worden. Jeden Monat gibt es hier etwas Neues zu entdecken. Gottseidank bewahrt uns Familie Görtz durch ihr handverlesenes Sortiment vor schlechten Bieren, wie es sie momentan leider an jeder Ecke gibt.“

“Awesome store! Best place to buy regional and international beer which is always pretty fresh. You can also find rare stuff at reasonable prices you don't get everywhere. Recommendation!“

“This family run shop has one of the best beer selections in Germany and works hard to promote the German craft beer. They also carry a well curated selection of Belgian beers some good stuff out of the US, UK and nice finds from Scandinavia, Italy, Spain and other spot in Europe. The staff is very friendly and the shop has a nice atmosphere, like a library of beverages. In addition to beer there is an excellent selection of wine and spirits. Plus free gummy bears at the check out.“

“Thomas, his brother, father and their knowledgeable staff operate a jewel among beverage shops in Bonn, with a strong focus on artisanal beer from the far corners of Germany and the world. This place is a candystore for beerlovers. The people at P&M are a cool bunch, even treating their customers in the summer time to a little beerfest out by the loading dock at the back of their building. The personable service and attention to customer needs at P&M is excellent. These guys sure know their craft.“

“Definitely deserves the high Rating. Not many Shops in Germany that have a similiar assortment. Loads of bavarian beers, some local craft. Aswell as an awesome international and especcialy belgian selection of world class brewers. Lambic from Tilquin, Cantillon, 3F, Bzart. All three Westvleteren. Struise Black Damnation and so on. Excellent Service. Parking on the opposite at the Supermarket.“

“I would not say that this is typical German Getränke Händler. Ha? A typical German Getränke Händler would not sell any of these: Cantillon, 3 Fonteinen, Westvleteren, Hanssens, De Struise Brouwers, De Dolle Brouwers and many more. Mysland was probably on the other side of the road, in search of a case of Bitburger.“

“The best bottle shop in Germany, they have the best selection of German craft beer in the area and the best selection of rare hard to find beers that I’ve found in all of Germany. The shop is family run and it is sometimes best to ask for the son who runs the craft beer side of things. This is a must see in the growing craft beer scene of Germany.“

“Its always a lot of money I leave here when I find my way to Bonn, but I love it! Where do you get such a selection of wonderful beers in many Kilometers around?? Perhaps try Siegburg, but it is smaller there...“

“Great little drinks-market , packed with rare beers. When you stumble in, right in front of the cash desk you’ll find a small, but well assorted selection of US, GB, B and german "craft-beers" (e.g. Siren, Cadolzburger, Caldera and so on); when You enter the second room on the left side, You will find the franconian embassy in the former Bundeshauptstadt Bonn: a really great selection of rare franconian (plus some Bier from other parts of Bavaria) brews is presented there. Worth a detour!“

“One of the best Getränkemarkt I know. I already bought there 15 years ago. Those days they already had a good range of beers and an incredible selecction of wines, especially German ones. Not to forget Whiskeys. And they got even better in the beer section, you find breweries like Cantillon! The shop looks not too inviting from the outside when you are searching a good wine or a craft beer, but inside there’s heaven in this crammed place. The owner Herr Görtz is somewhat special, but nice.“

“This place looks like bottle stores used to look like very long ago. And this is what creates its otherworldly atmosphere. Dim lit, with lots of interesting craft beers, though it also has a smallish, more sterile looking ’getraenkemarkt’ section. Lots of hidden gems in the dim lit part though. Really nice, unusual and a good place to hunt down some beers you never had. And the prices are great.“

“Medium-sized bottle shop with a nice selection of beers, wines and spirits. The assortment is really good: classy Belgian, fancy German (with a focus on Franconia) and other beers from the British Isles or the US. They have some curiosities that can not be found often in Germany. The store itself is a bit narrow but who cares about that if the quality of the beers is so high?! The advice by the staff is helpful, they are experts concerning beer. The prices are quite good and better than at any other place I know. Therefore I would absolutely recommend a visit here while I’m glad to live just some k’s away.“

“I have only stopped in once but I am always thinking about when I can return as it is that good. An especially wonderful selection of Franconian beers. I was helpfully advised on which were Franconian as there is lot of beer to look at. A nice selection of beers from other places as well. Belgian, American, English and others as well. The pricing is very reasonable. I look forward to my next visit.“

“Nice little shop across from the Trinkgut (that also has ample parking if needed). Went in here and was greeted by a staff member. I said I was in search of German craft beer and it seems they like that. They appear proud of the craft beer scene that is quickly growing up around them. So I had terrific service and was able to talk beer with a few staff members in English (I have no German language skills) and I picked through the craft beer, looked over the small assortment of international craft beer. There were a few Cantillons to be had if that’s what you’re after. There is a lot of wine here and in another room a nice array of standard local and Bavaria beer offerings. All in all a very pleasant visit and seemingly inexpensive as compared to a similar beer run in the states. I walked out with 20+ bottles for 35euro. Nice. If I’m in the area I will come back. It is worth a small side trip to seek out.“

“Very nice place with many classical beers from Germany and also, what is more important, they offer many craft beers from this region, for instance beers from Fritz Ale. Also they deliver many foregin beers, especially from Belgium. Prices are very low and basically this is one of the best places with huge variety of beers in this part of German.“

“P & M Getränke is a great source to get traditional german beers and also a large variety of craft beers from all over the world. They also have an impressive line-up of belgium beers. Very likeable that they don’t support the usual german mainstream beers any longer, but support small brewers and breweries. Unusual broad range of beers for a german beer store with very fair prices and an always changing palette of available beers. Service is perfect, staff is very friendly and helpful, often give out free glasses or a small discount.“

“Great little bottle shop. Owner and son could not have been more helpful and friendly. English spoken well and they know their beer here. Great selection of German beers including micros. Gems from Cantillon and de Molen. Looks like a good wine and spirits selection as well.“

“By far the best beer shop in the Bonn /Cologne area. Lots of franconian or bavarian beer like Spezial, Schlenkerla or Rittmayer. The only place I know outside of the Düsseldorf area where you can buy fresh Uerige, Füchschen or Schlüssel. Close to the entrance you have a variety of belgian beers (trappists, kriek, Cantillon etc) plus large bottles of de Molen and UK / US beers like Fullers, and Brewdog or Sierra Nevada. P&M also has the full range of Fritz Ales and Hopfenstopfer. Service is perfect and prices are very reasonable.“

“Little place across from a Lidl and giant getränkemarkt. Very cramped and crooked inside, pretty nice. I like the feeling of being in a place with so much good stuff it’s crammed into every nook and cranny. "Special" beer is up front in a sort of crazy pile of stuff, all mixed together and a shelf with more stuff from the UK and USA. Lots of big bottles from De Molen (didn’t see any small bottles from them unfortunately), some brewdog stuff, Meantime London Stout. Tons of German stuff in the room around the corner. I didn’t see any German microbrews though in the special section, nor in the back. Prices are great (750ml De Molen Single Hop Citra for 6,95€), they gave me a cardboard box to carry my purchases in. Parking is easy right across the street. I will go again if I’m ever in the neighbourhood. Definitely worth a look if you’re nearby.“

“[June 2010] Not your run-of-the-mill Getränkemarkt, P&M is the only place I’ve found so far in Bonn with a selection of non-standard German beers. Also has a number of Belgian and UK brews, which is wildly exotic by local standards as well. Service is quietly helpful and mixing crates for tasters is not frowned upon. Good selection of beers I haven’t seen anywhere else and decent prices. [Feb 2012] Upped my rating a few points. Selection is getting even better, with gueuzes, lambics, stuff from De Molem and even German microbrews making a cameo. Very helpful staff.“
