“Visited Saturday 9th December 2017. As Fin stated it´s a local cooperative selling local products in a sort of Supermarket. Ist splitted in a Food and a Drinks section. Many great products. Beer: As Guldenbacher/ Windesheimer Brauhaus isn't producing anymore you can't buy the beers there anymore. But they do have the beers from Hausbrauerei Mario Miedl / Stromberger Urbräu and a lot of the Kriner beers. Very friendly service. “

We visited Gulina on Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th June 2016. We were told about this place by the campsite owner who explained that he had an interest in it as he was a member. I understand that what Gulina is, is essentially a local cooperative where the onus is on selling and therefore supporting mostly local products and producers with wine, meat, beer, vegetables and cheese (and other dairy products) for sale. Gulina is located at the far end of the village on the road out of to Windesheim. It is close by a bank (Sparkasse) and a bakers.

I have added Gulina simply for the fact that you can get the locally brewed Guldenbacher beers here, I hadn’t seen them anywhere else locally. There were some other beers here as well but these tended to be more standard big brewer fare, whereas you could buy the Guldenbacher beers by the case. The price was €8.99 for ten bottle’s of either the Pilsner, Pilsner unfiltered or Weissbier, of course you could buy them single as well.

Gulina is a nicely laid out store with wine, cheese, meats etc on the RH side of the store the counter is at the front of the shop there are doors to the RH side and another door where the beers are off to the LH side. I guess that they do this as people buying beer will probably pull up and buy in bulk. Just to note it is cash payment only however no issue as there is an ATM/cashpoint at bank opposite. If you go here check out some of the other products, we picked up some great wine, cheese, sausages and yoghurts here. Staff were very friendly, it’s a great little store.
