“Well off the beaten track hidden away in the back streets of Boulder on a narrow block behind a corrugated iron fence is the region’s only craft brewer. Don’t let the non-assuming frontage or the large shed deter you as here you will find indoor and outdoor trestle tables that provide adequate seating in the shade. The small bar has eight taps pouring six of their own craft beer and two ciders. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable and serve up the fresh, tasty beer at competitive prices (cheaper here than elsewhere in town where only major brewer’s products can be found) of $5.50-6 for approx. 300ml. Tasting paddles of six (all of the range) are available for $20. About eight bottle beers, some of which is the tap range and others are specials, are available at ‘cellar’ temperature for $9-12. Food on offer is very basic pub-style fare (pizza, toasties, etc) however don’t rely on getting food as it is not available every day or sells out quickly. If in Kalgoorlie-Boulder definitely visit Beaten Track Brewery and sample their beers.“

“Nice point of difference as pretty much all the taps in Kalgoorile are taken up by CUB and Lion. Small tasting room. About 8-9 benches and outside tasting area. Have to book in advance to get a seat due to area liquor laws. Only served 100ML tasters and 600ML tasting plates but does give you a good idea of the range. Does takeaway at very good pics and can serve do growlers. Small area but a very well done fit out. Nick, one of the brewers took me through a tasting tray and was excellent in explaining the beers, answered all questions really well and quite fun to talk to. They make some really interesting beers and attempt some out there stuff as opposed to other OZ brewers. Highly suggested.“
