“Located in the center of Edegem. Large garden which is nice with school styled tables and chairs which is not optimal but fine. This is the location of Vleesmeester microbrewery but that feels almost secondary to them being a local bar. They have Vleesmeester beers on tap and in bottle but this isn’t a taproom, they have plenty of other taps & bottles from usual suspects like Chimay to Verzet going to De La Senne with rotating specials like Mikkeller Geuze upon visit. Very chill place, plenty of people, good service, prices maybe slightly above average or just average. Very local feel and relaxing. Vleesmeester had their beers contract brewing so I don’t think I have had their own brewed stuff yet. They still contract brew the big batches I believe. I tried 3 beers, one bottled & two tap, one was fresh & very solid draft, other two had faint diacetyl and slightly messy but still quit decent. Great place to just hang out in their garden. Music was old school hip hop & soul which is nice including the first 3 songs from Isaac Hayes - Hot Buttered Soul.“
