“Funny that I never reviewed this one, I have been here twice long-ago during Tour de Geuze and did the tour as well which was definitely worthwhile and nice. Besides Timmernans the bar also had some other John Martin’s offerings which aren’t worthwhile. The sweetened stuff isn’t great but their classical offering are decent and their lambiek great.“

“Local semi-corner bar next to a beautiful church, good service and very popular. Highlight of the menu is definitely the Girardin selection (Black Label, White Label, Kriek & flat lambiek) at great prices and matching glassware. Hard to fault.“

“Visited 23 April 2018. Previously 'In De Linde' that switched owners about five years ago and simply went downhill until bankruptcy. The original owner, David Fleurus, decided to reopen and rename his bar. He is amiable, passionate and outspoken about his ambition. The beer selection is still under construction, especially the tap, which will feature around 20 different beers. The local Gueuzes and Krieks are present, but I don't see if they can compete with 'In de Verzekering tegen de Grote Dorst' on this point. Some other local beers from De La Senne or 4Pajot (only the latter were ridiculously expensive), the 'usual suspects', but also the relatively new Légendes Harmony. Anyway, I'm fairly certain that David is curious enough about beer to keep his selection interesting. The pub has an 'old Flemish' style part with wooden tables and chairs, a small lounge in the corner and some more tables in the back - quite big and a relaxed atmosphere. No food to speak of, but there is a restaurant (Tatanka) right next to it, also owned by David. Prices seem to be okay. Worth the visit, at least because there is someone behind the taps who's serious about beer. We'll see how it evolves.“

“very weird place ! visited with rutger, elisse, and david. the interior is big, with gambling machines, pool table, etc. Looks kinda like a sports bar ! The menu is a sheet of plastic, looks very nice, but contains a lot of ... well.. weird things ! 3 Fonteinen Djoefel ( I guess they mean doesjel ? ) / Mont des cars ( cats ? ) etc. This doesn’t show a lot of research/ knowledge... They are very proud of selling old orval, but didn’t have any of the ones listed on the menu. Only fresh.. So yeah... They had - at a extremely nice price - batches 1 and 2 of la trappe oak aged, but it was sold out... We took a random other bottle and left... Did everything just sell out the day before, or is this one of those places with a nice menu, but not a realistic one ?“

“Nice local pub with lots of locals a bit outside. The service was okay, after all the locals were served. However, make sure you have enough cash, as they don’t take cards. (If you don’t have a designated driver: The bus comes once per hour and they won’t sell you a bottle for the walk)“

“Lovely place! I though I rated this one already, but it’s gone, again, weird. The selection of lambics is really more then just ok! Good value, typical pub in the Pajottenland.“

“We stopped past here after going to Lindmans. This beer cafe is apparently relatively new to the scene, but don’t let that put your off. They have 10 beers on tap, including a house beer made by Lindemans. The bottle selection is particularly impressive: about 150 bottles, including about 40 lambics - De Cam, Moriau, Oud Beersel, 3 Fonteinen to name but a few. They also have Oud Beersel Oude Lambic from ye olde bag in a box. Other highlights on the menu include almost every batch of BA La Trappe Quad. They are also an Orval Ambassador so expect a wide variety of different aged Orval. Interior is traditional Belgian beer cafe, the staff are friendly and the beer good value. All round a great beer cafe with a great lambic selection.“
