“While you're traveling Flanders, chances are you might find yourselves in Werchter: a small hamlet in the middle of nowhere with a beautiful church by whose shade you'll find two bars: this is the one not by the road. Lady in charge doesn't speak a word of English, nor any other language but Dutch for that matter; there's no food whatsoever and patrons are only locals. So stop here and let your gaze wander. To begin with, the view of the church and the grass by it is outstanding. OK, you're not here for the views of no temple or meadow, I get it. Go to the back of the bar and take a look at the two fridges full of old, many times out of production Belgian ales. Oh, so you have...? I'll grab a bottle of this (please point at, she doesn't understand.) And so you find amazing beers for very low prices in a nice setting. Want something to eat? Go somewhere else. Fancy something not from Belgium? Go f*** yourselves. In the mood for some nice, English-proficient, polite service? Go and very much f*** yourselves, once again. But if you let yourselves in and forget about these trifles, chances are you'll spot an out-of-production Belgian whale for you to boast about. So... c'mon, yo! Ding-dong yo!“
