“Restaurant space with added large Atrium area with plenty of natural light. One of the 3 new Tangled Roots locations. Beer Menu a little hard to tell which is their own beers. Big selection, some good, some average. Food was tasty and upscale. Live singer when we went.“

“Bare-bones garage-style space with a nice biergarten, it is right next to Hackney's and they actually have table service so it is kind of brewpub-like. During this visit 7 beers on tap, beers are decent, the service style is fititng for the area, decent place.“

“Immaculate space in the upperclass immigrant jew suburb of Glenview. Beautiful place inside, nice biergarten, beers are always hit-or-miss, bartender was nice. Sample sizes available for all beers as well as flights, 15 or so drafts as well as bottles to go.“

“Nice modern taproom overlooking a large production area. Twelve of their own beerst on tap in various styles. They had some bottles to buy and growler fills. There is a small parking lot, but this place is in a downtown area with plenty of street parking. The beers were unremarkable.“

“I guess if there’s two words to describe this place it’s "not bad." It’s a chain, so you’ll know what to expect at each one you enter - trying to toe the line between a social restaurant and a sports bar. The selection is great, no arguments there (although not a lot of "big beers"), and the servers were much more knowledgeable than I remember in previous visits. I’ve had the food previously and remember being not overly impressed by it, but they have fair prices on the beer, and a lot to choose from, and ultimately, in this area, you can do a lot worse.“

“If you’ve been to one Yard House, you’ve been to them all. Huge selection with a few locals.“

“Large restaurant with a large oval bar in the middle, located in the middle of a large outdoor mall. There are over 100 beers on tap and a rotating weekly selection. There could be a few more microbrews and craft brews on tap for my liking. They’re sample beers/beer flights are prefixed, they almost are not worth it. Their food is Americana, burgers and pizza. It’s pretty decent but slightly overpriced. The atmosphere is family-style the place takes along a winding road to get to your destination.“

“Place is a large room with an oval bar in the center with over 100 beers on tap. Most of the beers are from domestic and international Macro breweries. This is great for the average uninformed beer drinker. They do have a sampler platter but they choose the beers or you can order a yard of beer but that is for the young and foolish. There are a few good craft beers available. I had the Three Floyds Alpha King which hit the spot. Their menu has a large selection most of which are well prepared. Nice place to check out but I wouldn’t go out of my way for. “

“Stopped in here two days ago for a beer, and was pleasantly surprised. There are two choices for a bar - either with the dining crowd or upstairs in a cozier setting. The bartender was knowledgeable about his beer selection (24 taps, 30 or so bottles).I didn’t have food, although it seemed to smell good. If you’re near the North Shore, it’s a nice place to chill out.“

“Great place to grab a bit and a beer. Very nice environment, very family friendly. Great food and over 100 beer craft and import on tap. Parking is street or garage and is ample. Walking distance to lots of shopping.“

“Went with my wife and 2 daughters for dinner. Place was packed. Nice oval bar and plenty of tables. Over 100 taps with a lot of macros and widely available imports. Large selection of craft brews, but nothing rare. Lots of Three Floyds, DFH, North Coast, and New Belgium. Out of the 100+ taps there was only 3 or 4 I really wanted to try. Had the Gorgonzola Burger which was pretty good. My wife had a Margarita Pizza which was decent. Not the cheapest place to drink but food was good. Will be back.“

“What a selection! This is a great place to spend an evening comparing beers and looking for your favorite IPA or porter. And the food’s pretty good, too. It’s called the Yard house because you can buy drafts in 3-foot long glasses that you park on the floor next to you. Watching someone tip a yard-long glass back is an experience. But don’t buy your beer in yard-long glasses if you want to taste test. The opposite would be optimum, i.e., flights of small tasting glasses, but you aren’t allowed to choose the beers in the flights. The atmosphere is a bit stark, modern, or airy, depending on your attitude--it’s a big open room with a bar in the middle (with 130 taps). Actually, there were a number of families there when I was there. I certainly plan to go back.“

“Lots of crap on tap here. Out of the 100+ taps there were about 6 that I considered ordering (a few IPAs and Bells’ Porter). The service was great and the food was pretty good (I had the BBQ bacon burger). Don’t come here expecting beer nirvana, come here expecting to impress your undiscriminating beer-enjoying buddies.“

“The yard house has 130 taps, with some interesting brews such as plenty of local micros. For the Glenview Yard House (this is a chain), that means some Bell’s, Three Floyds, Two Brothers and Sprecher. Good choices all. My server, when asked to recommend a Belgian beer, suggested Paulaner hefeweizen. Thanks, dude! Anyway, the joint is really spacious and located in a charming new development in Glenview that’s full of upscale shops/boutiques and a movie theatre. Worth the trip to be sure. Yard House used to have about 200 taps in some of their locations, and may still, but I don’t think the Glenview location has enough business to support even 130 taps and keep the beers fresh. The food was quite tasty. One catch: tasters are $1 each, and their "6 pack sampler" cannot be modified (ie. you can’t select the six beers that you get tasters of - WTF!?). The Yard House picks 6 Beers and serves them in six 6 oz glasses for a fixed price, but you can’t change the beer selection!!!! How weird is that. A plus: Yard House has yard and half yard glasses, but no foot glasses. A must see, though I should mention that there is a shocking number of taps devoted to macro swill. I have no idea what that’s all about.“
