“The newest of the four Pollyanna locations, this one is blocks away from the the original brewery in downtown Lemont. Nice lite rooms from plenty of windows makes it bright. Event room next to bar, 4 tap handles; but mostly a cocktail and fine spirits upscale bar. I had a nice stouts.“

“Smaller bar but the brewer Brian is very easy to find, and he often serves the beer with the staff. His stout and Porters are complex. There is a downstairs area I have not visited. Location is in old downtown Lemont IL.“

“A beautiful brewery just off the main strip in Lemont. A great wraparound patio with a tight taproom of high tables and a small bar that look over the brewery itself. Very crisp. Only 8 beers on tap as it was the day after their Oktoberfest but 5 oz pours available as needed. Prices were decent and no food available but food is welcome. Thought this was a great brewery for the area!“

“In this area, a hidden gem. Seems to have a lock on some limited releases from the local breweries which is nice. Food was OK, but burger special ($2) is pretty good. Many TV’s if you want to watch a game.“

“Nice modern restaurant/bar, with lots of high-def flat screens. Good food. Good craft beer menu, always with 4-5 rarities.“

“Lots of craft beers on tap here ranging from Stone and Bell’s stuff to Lost Abbey The Angel’s share. Pretty good atmosphere and decent food. If you ever find yourself in Lemont it’s not a bad spot to get some good beer.“

“Rotating taps with a good selection of some hard to find beers. Enjoyed glass of Lost Abbey Angel’s Share earlier this year and consumed Clown Shoes Black IPA last week of May 2011. Food is outstanding as well. Tater tots and mini-burgers rule!“

“This is, by far, the best bar in Lemont, and would make a run for best bar in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. Yeah, the beers on tap aren’t so great, but the company is amazing. The bartenders are great. This is the kind of bar that makes me want to hang out at bars.“

“If you are searching RateBeer.com for a "Beer Place", there is absolutely NO reason for you to set a foot inside of Tom’s Place. Sure, it’s a homey joint with alot of history and local flavor, but all they can offer you are six taps of crap and some bottled macros.

As well as brewpubs and beer bars, my wife and I enjoy nightclubs, music venues and dive bars. If this site were "DiveBar.com", I would speak favorably of Tom’s... but it is not so I will not. And now that I’ve said that, Tom’s isn’t even so much a "Dive Bar" as it is just an "Old Man Bar".“

“Tom’s Place has nothing to do with good beer but it is one of those places that is alot of fun to hang out at. This is honestly my bar of choice in the Chicago area. It is a no frills dive bar that excels at what it is. You want a rare microbrew? Not here. Food? Nope. But what they do have is atmosphere. You could spend half the night just looking at the random "flair" that they have behind the bar. Drinks are boozy and dirt cheap. Local "regulars" are abundant. You look at the hardwood bar seeing the dents and dings and wonder about the history of such a place. Always a good time and highly recommended if you are in Lemont.“

“I’m not adding this place just to put down its beer selection, more to point it out as one of a vanishing breed; the well-established neighborhood tavern. Founded in 1924 in Lemont’s historic downtown, near the Illinois & Michigan Canal State Trail, this place still is marked by a Blatz beer sign hanging over the door. That’s right, Blatz on tap. I just had to go check that out. But the other taps, besides Lite and Labatt’s, also had a Sam Adams seasonal and Trumer Pils. Much of the decor looks like it has been there for decades, including the bartender, an older lady who wonder why the hell I should be so interested in the beer. She said they didn’t have any interesting bottled beers, but she did serve my pint on a Tucher coaster, so one never knows. Big windows in the front keep the place airy, TV tuned to Jeopardy! while old locals are arguing over the George Ryan verdict. I’m not saying this is a vital beer tour stop, but as more downtown taverns get knocked off by bland Bennigan’s style franchises, this becomes a nice historic setting to just have a beer.“
