72 /100 Tap 22 (Restaurant) 1443 1ST ST Visited early February with Mrs. Owl and her family. Good food, decent place. Be aware that at this moment this place is new and it is always SLAMMED. We waited 45 minutes for our table. Not exactly their fault as it was slammed and we had a large-ish group, but just be aware. Also, the later it gets, the louder the music seems to get. Anyway. New joint, kind of strikes you as a moderately upscale hip burger joint, but they have all kinds of food. Decent taplist selection; I was able to get several ticks by sharing with family - didn't ask if they do flights or anything. Our waitress wasn't knowledgeable on the beers at all - in fact as we ordered by name she asked that we just say the number (from Untappd) instead. She was prompt and friendly, though. We all liked our food, had a great time with family, and enjoyed some good craft beer we hadn't had before. So all in all, we'll be back, but definitely not a craft beer destination. |
70 /100 Hy-Vee Wine & Spirits - Silvis (Beer Store) 2001 5TH ST, STE 51 Typical Hy-Vee with a less than average craft beer selection. Will get you by and has some good stuff, but not a destination beer stop by any means. Clean, well lit, decent service, decent selection. |
