“2020 : Firstly a confiture store which sells their own products but also lots of other local stuff like sausages, candy, mustard, liquor etc. Located in centre of town. They also sell beers from a handful of local breweries like Minne & De La Lienne including the possibly label beers which Minne makes for Durbuy as well as a local commission brewery which appears to be made at De La Lienne. Convenient place to scoop all those beers.“

“More of a restaurant with a small brewery tucked in the corned. But the local brew is quite nice. Service is fine, they realy knwe to handle my 4 busy grandchildren whiel serving us. Some nice surprises in his beer list, and of course his lcal brew. Should come back in September when he has more styles available.“

“Visited mid afternoon Saturday 12/9. Durbuy itself was busy with day visitors like ourselves, some perhaps encouraged by a Festival of Beer, Bread & Cheese in the centre of the town. We visited this festival featuring perhaps 20 mostly Wallonian brewery stalls prior to stopping at La Ferme au Chene. I was not especially impressed with their house beer, when compared with what I had sampled at the local Festival. Service was competent, toilets were clean, food prices seemed slightly high, but we did not eat.“

“Bezocht voorjaar 2015. Bierkaart is standaard en niet bijzonder verrassend, alleen het eigen bier is een bezoek waard. Eten niet gedaan en dus niet beoordeeld. Service is gewoon goed.“

“Visited in Nov 2014. The beer is pretty average, but the worst part was the food. I try a starter of cheese and mixed cold meats really bad and espacially so expensive“

“Visited early spring 2007. Funny little place in the cosy little ’city’ of Durbuy. Ok beer, ok service. Nice to visit when in Durbuy.“

“Lovely sunny day in a lovely little tourist town miles from most places on earth. We had just spent a very pleasant hour wandering around the ’Topiary Garden’ and I then anounced the real reason we were in town. We were going to find this place. La Feme Au Chene is just off the main road which goes through the town and overlooking the river (if you sit on the rear terrace). There is an old part of the building that is on the main road, but everything is reached via the carpark. The brew house is on the right and the main bar entrance is straight in front as you walk through the carpark from the road. Inside is a basic, clean, fairly boring room with an equally boring bar area. We sat outside facing the carpark and road, about four tables. We shared the area with a French Rugby team who had just done a brewery tour and a heavy nights drinking the evening before! One draught beer only, ’Marckhoff’, I also obtained a .75cl bottle to sample and review at home. Served by a simpleton who couldn’t speak any language and understood even less. Got through in the end, three Marckhoff beers and a Fanta. Fresh and fine, the beers were obviously poured into the correct glass and at the correct temp. Don’t know who the brewer is, but Danny Prignon from Fantom it isn’t. He helped to set up the brew house and brewed for the first 8 days. He was then told he could leave. I know this because he told me during a brewery trip round Fantom half an hour after I left here. The food looked good and everyone on the rear terrace had meals in front of them, it was lunchtime, but we weren’t hungry. Nice to have ticked this place off, but nothing really special. “

“Small place at the bourders of Durbuy center. Only brews the Marckloff, a decent homebrew. You can buy it in bottles on the spot.“

“Nice brew pub in petty but ultra-touristy Durby. Parking can be a nightmare so I suggest you visit out of season. The one beer they brew (markloff) is a kind of ’rough round the edges’ version of lachouffe but rather pleasant. Not at all like Fantome with which the brewery is supposedly associated.“

“Small farmhouse brewery in an incredibly beautiful setting. The brewery itself is smaller than my kitchen, one tun, boiler, and a hand-crank cork machine! Brewery tour takes 11 seconds. Interesting video. Home-made pate and cheese, both are excellent. Just the one beer, a decent blonde. Very friendly staff.“
