“Découverte vers le mois de mai 2020 pour la première fois en compagnie de mon padawan, et ce malgré le fait que j'habite Dinant. L'architecture est sympa, installée dans une ancienne cave, et une terrasse est disponible en bord de Meuse. La carte est complète avec une large sélection de bières, y compris de bières au fût.“

“Visited with friends the 8th June 2019 - In the city centre, in front of the Meuse river. This place has a terrace on the river side. Small bar with a friendly architecture. Selection is made with some beers on tap, interest will be on the bottle selection. Very nice bottle selection from most great breweries of Belgium like Dupont, De La Senne, L'Hermitage and some classic like Orval, Rochefort or Chimay. Service is friendly and price are smart. A good spot to visit.“

“Un petit magasin située non loin de la Collégiale, et avec une sélection de bière très intéressante. Le patron sait ce qu'il vend : il connait aussi bien les brasseries que les bières. Il y a possibilité d'y réaliser des paniers cadeaux. Les prix sont plus que corrects.“

“Okay, so, how can I say this? Ibis Dinant is just your average Ibis Hotel you can find anywhere in Europe (so, of course, being in Belgium they serve good ale, maybe two dozen different ones) which would make it the most uninteresting venue for a beer lover, but: they have this fantastic, big, wooden balcony or overhanging terrace, whatever you might call it, overlooking the Meuse river, in which sipping a beer on a warm summer evening is one of the best recalls I might have (and that's no lie.) So f*** our ideas about cheap hotel bars and just go, get a good Belgian ale and enjoy the fresh air while you see those 100-coach-long trains (count'em!)“

“Well, this is in the very center of Dinant, they've got terrace and patio, and their opening hours go beyond most of town's. But: it's super pricey, selection is nothing outta this world and food is plain normal (I like their soups, though.)“

“I must say that I love this place, and have been coming year after year. It is located within an old monastery, now turned hotel (quite a good one, btw), and after the visit to the Leffe Museum (or if you're lodged) you get to sample a free bottle or three different beers in small tasting glasses (I usually go for the first option, but seem to be the only one around that does so.) Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and they speak several languages, ambiance is superb (leather Chesterfields, old cruise chests for tables, cowskin rugs, wooden panels...) Of course you only get to drink Leffe, that goes without saying, so selection is rather limited -but: when it comes to Leffe, they have quite a lot of things, sure!“

“Pretty small shop in center of Dinant. Good selection of international and regional craft beers. Quite some unusual and harder to find beers for a Belgian beershop. Very friendly and passionate staff, who knows what he sells, speaks English very well and is very willing to help. Prices are ok, definitely not a tourist trap in this touristic place.“

“Any Belgian beer fan should visit Maison Leffe. I have visited 3 times and still continue to love it. It is charming, the museum is interesting and unique, and the tasting room for after your museum visit is quite impressive. It is housed in the same building as a hotel and restaurant, which are NOT Maison Leffe and not part of my review. Dinant itself is very charming.“

“Food is very expensive here, beer moderately so. The range (outside Leffe beers) is poor for a Belgian pub. Service is a little snobbish too, as the clientele are are mostly idle ederly types. On the plus side the location and ambiance are good“

“Nice setting wedged between the Notre Dame of Dinant and the Meuse River. Nice patio overlooking the river for good weather or nice seating inside with a fireplace on cold days. Beer selection is nothing amazing but I bet you find something new or at least an old favorite. Food was really nice. I really like the couscous with vegetables and lamb medallions. Service was fine. Good choice in Dinant.“

“Don’t let the lower rating confuse you, this is just a unique place. So this place is a combination Leffe museum, hotel and restaurant housed in an old monastery. This is not the old Leffe abbey and no brewing takes place here. However, the 7 euro tour is tremendous and is offered in English, Dutch and French. The tour is very informative and is self-guided but has video presentations. At the end of the tour, you get nice samples of whatever 3 Leffe beers they have on tap at the time. After that, they give you a 33cl Leffe chalice as a gift; so basically the tour is free. They also sell single bottles, glassware, and other things at the desk. If you are near Dinant this is a great 1-2 hour diversion. Easily walkable from downtown Dinant.“
