“I am surprised this only has a single review! This is a fairly large place on the main road between the city of Waterloo and the monument. Ran into almost by accident on our way to the hill. Clearly the product of a larger brewery trying to set up a touristy space. They have a rennovated Waterloo beer wagon, a gift shop selling all kinds of stuff including bottles of their beer and other Belgians, and a large bar/restaurant with a lot of outdoor seating. Did not try the food, but they had a good selection of interesting beers available. More of a family stop, but not at all a bad experience.“

“This is a combined space to advertise the Waterloo brand beers as well as the Gordon and Timmermans brands. The restaurant is based in a large open classic Orangerie on the apparent historic battle grounds. Cheesy but fitting decoration, upscale and quite formal. Besides being the sales point for the brewed on site Récoltée beers, it’s a marketing point for the other Martin’s and Timmermans beers, with them on tap and for sale at the next door delicacies shop Comptoir du Ferme de Mont-Saint-Jean. Menu is classic French, fairly large and fairly expensive. The beers are pricy too for what you get, although at least they are on tap and in good nick. Food tastes fine, nice fries, but it better be for the price. You could certainly visit this to get some (at least the Récoltée) ticks in. The next door Comptoir shop has low prices and all the terrible Gordon brews are there, if you were interested...“

“A British supermarket in the fashionable suburb of Waterloo. They have a steady stream of imported UK beers that I haven’t found elsewhere in Brussels. Lots of other warez too for fellow Anglophiles.“
